Been in food service since 2012 after the pandemic happened, I could only find blue collar jobs to stay employed - been driving since March 2020 and will never go back to food. Peace/Pay is the reason for me. You have to not mind being alone all day. Some people can’t handle that- I love it. It’s draining interacting with people all day like food service. I say go ahead!

What traffic center do you work out of?I’m a driver out of Frankfort and we don’t have to load anything on carts. We just wheel it in to the salesman’s bin to a stand or unload already loaded carts from the Dc. Sometimes we have to load it on a board then use a pallet jack to take it in for board unloads. Just curious why it’s different where you are?

I work in Perry. This is GES being carted for a domicile driver and the rest is delivered dead stack for PEC routes.

Nice video , are you still with frito ? Any advice you’d give me a new driver coming from rsr position.

My last year before i retired sams club orders had to be on pallets ,no more carts at sams

Damn I feel bad lol I am apart of the job that replaced them.. DS driver. Our lives are so much easier 😅 its already on the carts we just pull them out print the invoice and leave lol

What is the job title for the drivers that deliver to grocery stores

It depends on what they are driving. A semi driver would be an OTR driver, regional driver, or local driver. Ifs its bulk truck it would be a non CDL driver.

@@seanstahley8171 Thx. for the info. I'm trying to compare with my current job and I understand you may be restricted from discussing pay. So, I work 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Team operation and unload about 5200 cases of snack cakes (not palletized). My total pay is 70,000 per year. Would Frito-Lay be better?
