Love your content. I have believed in “bigfoot” since 1980s when visiting my uncle in California. Retired federal marshal who fished and hunted in Sierra Nevadas. He saw them and knew they existed. He showed us pictures of tracks and scat. Even collected hair. His native friends called them night watchers but i don’t remember the actual word he used.

by Lake Cushman once heard similar wood knocking way off from our rental cabin like that Poulsbo guys experience nearby on that side of the Peninsula. Only camped twice further west in Quinalt Forest, which is a bit but more sparse, deeper rain forest but one early October we definitley heard more than cougars in heat, and all of us felt heavy ass footprints about 50 feet away but no tracks anywhere next morning & had been light rain.

It's amazing how everyone seems to escape from an alleged creature that is so fast, so stealthy and has the jump on everyone it encounters. They're apparently non life threatening other than their stinky BO, bad breath and howling noises. They seem to be nothing but Mountain Bullies if they are real. With all of the advances in night photography, trail cams, hunters every where now plus the fact that everyone has a cell phone nobody EVER gets a clear photo of these bullies of the forest, amazing isn't it. I wonder what would actually happen if someone just stood their ground when they saw one of these mountain bullies, I'd bet nothing. Carry a gun, stand your ground and see if it comes at you. I've been in many mountain ranges, hunted, fished, trapped, camped out and did jungle warfare training while in the service and have yet to be eaten alive or chased by one of these mountain hillbillies. I think if they're real they have no authority to physically harm human beings, otherwise they would have taken out all the people in your stories. Maybe they would be considered cannibals by their buddies for eating humans because they are human which explains why everyone lives that encounters them. This could be a group of humans that got unlucky in the gene pool and moved to the mountains to escape being ridiculed, as simple as that. Either way, there are tons of television shows on big foot and not one of them has definitive evidence/proof of these existing yet. When you have one on an autopsy table I'll be a TRUE believer.

Great story as always Chris! I certainly appreciate your stories when it involves cooking and camping, especially in the Sierras. My son and I were driving through the Caldor Fire burn scar today deer hunting and it reminded me what a beautiful forest the Sierra Nevada's are even after a fire. A fire is often needed to "clear things up" and this fire certainly did that. Some areas of the burn looked like Mars! Regardless, I appreciate you and your videos and maybe you can shoot a video in this area. Keep Hiking!!

Funny you would mention the human like foot prints at Ebbets pass. My girlfriend and I were just out camping there and hiked that section of the PCT and saw some similar strange foot prints as well. Was back in the beginning of August.

Hi Chris. Great creepy story. Like someone said in the comments, they like the way you tell stories. I agree. I’m wondering if anyone in your audience has ever encountered a mountain lion. I’ve become interested in mountain lions because people are showing them on their Ring doorbell footage in neighborhoods in my county. Nothing new here, however, I’ve yet to see one and I’m in a semi rural area. Plus, I have a seasonal creek on my property. Thank you for your fabulous storytelling!!

ClassicChevyKat I did see a mountain Lion at the least expected time while walking close to home with my dog. I live in Oregon on Chehalem mountain it’s very rural. One crossed my path not far ahead & entered into the deep woods. It sat low in the thick of the trees watching for awhile then moved on. I was not sure what was going to happen but thankfully it was a very calm & it was so exciting to see one that close. I also saw one driving through British Columbia once years ago. It had found a massive Bull Elk roadkill off the side of the road & was standing over it.

@@daveminturn2206 Saw a great documentary on mountain lions called California Mountain Lions: the legends of California. Very informative. Last year, people were recording bear on their Ring doorbell cameras. I’m in Sonoma County and it’s pretty populated so that was unnerving. Saw a documentary that black bear can be very aggressive.

Here is South East Georgia I know of someone who has seen a large black cat, like a panther in her woods near her house. I’ve read that some large cats can be darker and look like a panther. Panthers used to be native here but we’re over-hunted…. But I suppose it’s possible they still exist. The person who saw it is entirely credible as a witness. Also, there are many stories of big foot sightings in the rural areas here.
