FOR ALL THE LONELY PEOPLE OUT THERE! 🎄🎄 THANKS CHRIS FOR MAKING MY CHRISTMAS EVE A BIT BRIGHTER! I'm 62 and home alone this Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. I do have grown children but can't be with them as they live far away and I sprained my knee real bad a few weeks ago. But I've got my faithful dog here AND your videos to give me that homey cozy feeling. You are my favorite trekker or wilderness guy or whatever you call yourself! May the good Lord keep you safe as you wander around all the places I'd love to be right now! 🎇🌺🎁🦉🌳🐶🍄🔥🌀🦊💥🌵🦝💦🌺🌝🐿️🌚💥🍄🌲🦨🌿🦉🔥💦🦫🌺🐿️🌀🍄🌝🪴🌚🌲🦉🌺🌀🪴

Truly an excellent storyteller and he makes the best of his settings. This is the way KZread narrative should be done come out when it’s just Telling a story without props.
My Dad was a Conductor for PENN CENTRAL for many years and so I have a special place in my heart for trains. At the end were you were standing on the back of the Caboose, you reminded so much of my Dad. He is in Heaven now.

Loved the story and the tour of the caboose. I was so happy to wake up on Christmas Eve and see notification of a new story! I watched it as I drank my coffee. This one struck home as I lived in Colorado for 25 years and raised my kids there. We camped, hiked, and backpacked in several National Forests, but never Routt. Thank you, and Merry Christmas Chris!

Lots of story tellers on KZread, but not so many telling stories face to face, and most sound like they are reading. You are a great story teller, and I love seeing where you are going end up, lots of cool locations. The caboose is really neat. Keep up the good work. 😊👍

I think these ppl get those weights so wrong, an average male silverback gorilla is 430 pounds & 5 ft tall, these creatures are so much bigger, they gotta be 7 to 800. pounds at least.

Love the caboose. My dad was a "train guy" his whole life. He worked for Grand Trunk Railroad til he retired. Then he owned trains, drove trains and even bought a railroad company. He went home to Heaven in 2018.and I miss him fiercely. Thanks for this little reminder ❣️ Love your videos.

Great story as always Chris! I've been in Colorado for a little over 2 years now and have had 2 unexplained things happen while out camping and fishing on the 11 mile canyon in the south Platte river. I was heading to the canyon before sunrise to get a good spot on the river and I stopped to pee. I was pretty much the first one up there(besides people who were already at the camp site) and I was finishing up when I heard a bowling ball sized rock crash into the water maybe 15 feet away from me! I about jumped outta my skin! I quickly flashed my big spotlight all around to see what the heck and there was nothing but dead silence other than the river. Got back in the truck and kept heading deeper into the canyon. Fished all day, set up camp and it was just about dark when I heard a "whoop whoop" up a steep mountain top that I know there's so people or even an easy way to get up there.. had a fire going and made some food and a few more beers and got into the camper. Nice and quiet for the rest of the night but wow that was a bit scary and unnerving since I was only one of a few others at the spillway campground. Good times!

Thank you Chris for another great story and showing us the caboose. It looks so cozy and is beautifully restored from the 50's,I love nostalgic things and would love to spend a night in there, you are very lucky.
Great story and great storytelling . This is Susan from Coeur d'Alene Idaho. I used to live in Reno and often went up to Virginia City as a as a child and absolutely loved the history thanks again for the wonderful story
A nice warm place to stay with walls, a roof and a door that locks! WooHoo! Not as scary as being in the woods at night-alone-telling stories! Merry Christmas Chris! Thanks for your great stories!
As a keen railway modeller and historian, you have made my week! Great tales as always! Many thanks and greetings from the UK!!

Wow that caboose is just so beautiful, it's cosy and every detail has been carefully thought through! That is amazing! Very cosy and I bet it's very warm! I love old style things - gosh, even the bathroom is authentically Victorian down to the faucets, that's just so beautiful! I'm sick in bed so your videos sure cheer me up. I'm now doubly sick - first of all with my long standing disability called dystonia, which could be cured with an operation but so far all doctors have refused and told me to just go into a care home. I'm a young woman so no, this is not what I would call a solution... And now I got influenza on top of it. Everything hurts, can't move, and I'm all alone. I feel terrible! What a way to spend Christmas...
Wishing EVERYONE a very Blessed Holiday! Let us all keep in our hearts the reason for the season, pray to keep our minds and hearts open. We don't know what trials others are dealing with. May we all keep kindness in our hearts and thoughts towards others. Love this channel and you are way too awesome Chris! Rosey in Freeville

OMG...this afternoon my thoughts have been going on in my head of something that happened when I was a teenager... as it often does and I am sure anyone else with an experience of seeing a BF has thoughts of it no matter how many years have passed, I'm in my 60's now so it happened around the same time and in the same area as the guys had their meet up. I was just thinking of it and started watching your video and about freaked out when I heard the date and location. I'm be sending you my story Chris and it also can be read on the National Big Foot sighting website.
The sound of a bull elk crashing through bushes is amazing
The caboose has a cozy and safe atmosphere!--a relaxing place to tell strange stories from! I remember as a child in the 1970s I would always wave at the guy sitting in the upper part of them. :)

Very intriguing story Chris. Those guys gave a vivid description of ole Sas. The caboose was delightful and looked festive with the outside lights. Loved the stove. It looked very cozy and a perfect place for a story. I can't help wondering where all these Sasquatches live; in a cave? Treetops? Great story. Merry Christmas on this Christmas Eve! KH!
Hello, I am new to your channel. I admire the way you tell these stories, so full of life and reality. I think we all need more Sasquatch stories. I always respect and appreciate when people tell their stories about their encounters or experiences and I think they deserve to be told. Would you please tell more of them? Thanks!
I'm not all sure these are the best tales to be listening to just before summer camping season...but I'm totally hooked! 😂
Hi Chris. Great Story about the Hunters. I’m glad they didn’t want to Shoot the Bigfoot. I would love to have that Caboose. It was really Cozy looking. Someone did a Great Job fixing it up. 👍👍
Imagining the many rail Conductors and Brakemen that rode or worked with that Caboose. Cool setting, Great Story! Many were told of Bigfoot on a Caboose...
Great story and really nifty train! 🚞You are without a doubt my favorite storyteller, thank you so much. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Chris. Can't wait for all the wonderful stories in 2023👣✨👣✨👣✨☃️🎄☃️🎄☃️🎄

Tks for telling another great story. The old carriage is amazing. What a love place to stay.
I love your accomodation Chris, quite luxurious. I listen in 'tent' ly to all the stories, too many good people with all to lose and nothing to gain for them not to be true. I can't but help feeling sorry for them and I've NEVER heard of anyone being hurt by them. I believe they ARE the so called "missing link".
Thanks Chris, I'll keep hiking
What a way to spend an evening,, enjoy. Have you ever had any encounters? Love your stories keep them coming in 2023
The rangers will always say it was a bear. Don't tell the people the truth ! For heaven's sake. I loved the caboose. Very nicely done. Very cozy.🎄

When I was a kid my brothers and I would run down to the creek where the train passed by, and we would wait for the red caboose. The train moved slowly so we would jump on the caboose and ride it up to Golden Colorado where we would spend the afternoon swimming. We would ride the train back home just before supper so we wouldn't get in trouble. Ahh, the good old days, lol.

What a great place! So cozy. I love the stove. ❤ That story was a good one. Those men are most likely in their 80s and 90s by now...if they are still alive...at least the one who had been a hunter for 40 years in 1970. I enjoyed hearing how they read the tracks and could figure out the dimensions of the Bigfoot. I wonder if "he" is still alive...nobody knows how long their lifespans are. Thanks for another awesome narrative 👏 👍
