Fright Fest Update: Maze facades and Scare Zones
Less than a week to go! Here is what Six Flags Magic Mountain's Fright Fest has constructed so far. Vault 666 and Condemned are in a back stage area near Full Throttle that is not visible.
Mazes
Aftermath 2: Chaos Rising - A fog-shrouded post-apocalyptic city covering 40,000 square feet features life-size props, pyrotechnics and other special effects.
Willoughby’s Resurrected - The reincarnated Willoughby family roams the harrowing hallways of their beloved haunted mansion.
Red’s Revenge - A villainous Little Red Riding Hood and her demonic minions hunt the Big Bad Wolf and all who dare enter the woods on the way to Grandmother’s house in this fairy tale gone awry.
Vault 666 Unlocked - Demonic relics cast spells on a dark and sinister antique shop and haunt those who try to steal the artifacts.
Condemned: Forever Damned - The walls of a dilapidated home come alive with the spirits who once lived in the haunted house.
Sewer of Souls - Step into an oozing underground world of terrifying tunnels filled with lost souls amid the dank air and the smell of dread.
Scare Zones
Terror Rising: Dark Developments - Demons from the depths of hell prey on innocent passers-by who enter a haunted cemetery in this new scare zone near the Viper roller coaster.
Dead Zone - The new scare zone finds a renegade horde of cyberpunk zombies feeding on unsuspecting visitors in the Underground area of the park near the new West Coast Racers roller coaster.
City Under Siege - Sinister clowns emerge from dark corners and run rampant through the streets in DC Universe.
Witches Lair - A black magic spell transforms the DC Comics City of Metropolis into a haven for the wicked.
Demon’s Door - Evil spirits threaten to take over your mind and body just inside the main entrance to Magic Mountain.
Exile Hill - The sinister undead relatives of the Willoughby family vow to protect their haunted estate at any cost near the Sky Tower at the top of Magic Mountain.
Nightmares: A Twisted Fantasy - Your favorite childhood bedtime stories take on a perverse twist as creatures leap from the pages of twisted fairy tales.
Terror-tory Twisted - Steam-spewing mechanical beasts stalk their victims in the Screampunk District near the Twisted Colossus coaster.

I think that DC and six flags should take the opportunity every year, this time of year and showcase some of the scarier DC characters like Silver Banshee.

Terror Rising is a graveyard themed scare zone new for 2021, it will be near Viper.

There are two new scare zones and two new shows. The mazes are all returning from last fright fest, we’ll see how much they have changed when we go this Saturday!

Sewer of Souls & Condamned are new since 2018 (that's 2 event years). There's a global apocalypse still on-going, so you should be grateful they're even doing an event. All events this year aren't going all out with new content for the obvious reasons. You want more new? Go next year

We are doing Knott’s Scary Farm and HHN. Queen Mary isn’t doing a Dark Harbor event this year though! Hopefully they’ll be back next year.

Strange to me that they are called "mazes," since you can't get lost and there is only one way to go. Most people would call them "haunts" or "houses."

There was a maze at Kentucky Kingdom that was actually a bit of a maze: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qYNklsWRYpa2f9o.html sometimes other ones will add a mirror maze section to part of a maze. We just call them what the parks call them. .
