Oof. As if the blank walls weren’t bad enough, there needs to be more characters for the actors to play than just “someone who screams ‘HELP ME’ over and over again”. This was an interesting idea that fell disgustingly flat.

The haunt sucks, there is very little in the haunt to immerse you in the story, which is basically said at the beginning but is not seen in the haunt. Poor planning, bad scares, crap designs and sets. But I'm enjoying your hopeless battle to convince folks that if they only saw the haunt like you do, they would love it! It's called Denial!

I’ve been going to theme park haunts in SoCal for over 20 years and this is hands down the worst maze I’ve ever seen. Why would Six Flags open an unfinished attraction to the public? The talented scare actors deserve much better than this. I can only hope it improves over time. 🤞🏻

They spent all the budget for the maze on the first room

Yes, you are very right. The very loose premiss is Truth or Dare game show goes off the rails - players become victims-carnage ensues. This production was within the first group through. This maze is fairly technical and still in the fine tuning stages. The scare actors work hard to give our guests every moment of fear, unpredictability, discomfort and terror they come to us for. Thank you for positive feedback.

Love your video the best...Really good & professional, like the way you had plenty of light on the scares & love how you showed long shot of outside before going in.

I was shocked by how horrible this was. There's a story behind this, and we need a haunt detective to get to the bottom of it.

The narrative is the guests become players in the Truth or Dare game show. The stakes are their lives. Something goes haywire and the players become victims. Torture, mayhem, and the body count rises. Get out before you are taken out.

If you mean story for why it turned out so poor. I believe it has to do with a change in management. and a company-wide objective to raise admission costs and cut running costs. Perhaps they just didn't have the people working on this one, like they would have before. If this is the case, I hope they turn things around and get back on track with what made them so good before.

We went on Saturday and it was still closed. It's billed as never before seen scares and FX. Are those still under construction? These Scare-Actors are working their butts off and deserve more.

1) Six Flags hired a separate production company to design and build the maze. 2) Six Flags has no say about the maze until November as they don't currently own it until then. 3) The company was taking their sweet ass time building the maze. And finally 4) they were late on the deadline

I won’t lie, the concept of a haunted attraction that takes place in a deranged game show is a very interesting concept, but I have to agree that the execution was a bad first-impression. First of all, the title of the attraction has nothing to do with what’s happening inside. We don’t see any Truth or Dare things going on; all we see is a bunch of special effects and poorly-thought-out Saw traps. Secondly, the entire cast is just a lot of normal-looking people yelling for help. No ghosts, no ghouls, just people with bloody makeup. You know the game guards from Squid Game? I (unironically) think they should’ve made minions that behave similar to them. Hell, they should’ve made a character reminiscent to Vanna White so there can have a Joker and Harley Quinn type of duo going on with the host and the other character. Last but not least, the biggest offender: empty rooms. This attraction is filled with them. Even when you’ve got a single thing going on, it still looks like there could be more work put into it. If they make it look like you’re in a deadly game show, they could make it pretty spicy.

This is mostly just walking down a hallway😭 and it doesn't embody the theme like it's just random people screaming the same thing. Like if you didn't know the title you would have no idea. The sad thing is the wasted potential the theme sounds really cool and the scare actors were good and some of the jump scares were good but there wasn't enough at all. I was thinking about going to fright fest so I hope that they are better than this in vallejo

And for the remainder of the season you will be in said sucky haunt trying to explain to patrons that it's great but knowing you have to perform your jump scare in the worst haunt in the park! You can use lines like " I'm sorry this haunt sucks!" Or" we could have done better " but make your voice sound spooky. This way, the people will know they are in a haunted house and not lost in a hallway!

Bro there nothing in this maze January long hallways with lights and only 12 actors like tf is this six flags they went broke at the last second and had to think of 1 more maze to put here and forgot to add all the cool stuff

It sounds like a cool concept on paper bu in reality it's not very cool

why do the rooms have no props? the theme wasn't "void" or empty space it is supposed to be some kind of haunted game show where you make decisions or something, but there is literally nothing in the maze so the actors just seem out of place

Don't mind him, he's upset that he has to work in the worst haunt in America. And as far as him telling you to "shut it" . These are his own words he could heed. He's all over anyone who doesn't like it, and cry's and tells them to do better, and no one could ever understand how hard it is to walk in his shoes. Haunt acting is probably one of the hardest jobs to do. (according to shadow from the toilet)

@@lathanasamna lmao, I'm not 'upset' that I have to work in Truth Or Dare. I actually like my job, and the pay is great. As for the 'worst haunt in America' I could think of worse. Is our job hard, yes. Its extremely taxing on the body and wears you down as the night progresses. But it's worth it in the long run. And just so you know. Truth Or Dare won the Maze of the Night on Sunday. Seems the maze is getting better. At least to those who see its it's worth.

This is extremely lack luster. Like, tf is this!? I've seen better yard haunts than this? And to think it's at a theme park that has a bigger budget than someone's house.🤷🤦

Ok just to put it out there, when I went yesterday to SFMM, Truth or Dare was honestly the best maze at Fright Fest. They definitely updated a lot of things wrong with the maze shown in this video. It was so much better than what you see here, trust me. This maze rivals anything Horror Nights and Knott's Scary Farm.

That was quite possibly the worst scare attraction I’ve ever seen. Terrible acting quality, no theming and the same ‘scares’ throughout the whole thing. It’s a cool concept but there’s no substance to it, just ‘scary man says truth or dare and you walk round a warehouse’

In my opinion I like Hhn more but when it comes to rides and stuf sfmm is better, fright fest is just not it I didn’t like it had to many high expectations scarezones weren’t that scary and mazes were kinda meh.

Their makeup artists should be fired. Nothing scary about that maze.

Let me ask something, and I'm asking this politely. Why do you judge something based on a video or a review? Let's take a movie review for instance. Let's say a critic reviewed a movie and said it was awful. Would you believe him/her and not watch it? Or would you see it and base your own views on it? How do you know that this maze will be awful based on someone's video from opening day? Yes we had some technical difficulties that day, but we've fixed them. And added several more people in as well. I also happen to know that they are still working on the creative side and fixing the layout and blank walls. I'm asking you this. How do you know you won't like it, if you don't try it? Yes Sharp Productions does review videos on mazes. But that is merely their own opinion on them. Come and try the maze. You never know, you may like it.
