Maybe the distance between a chimpance figuring out how to stack boxes to catch bananas and humans building the bubble telescope is as small as that 2% of difference in DNA. Not if you stop feeding them or show them who is the alpha but humans are soft and think a wild animal should be getting pampered in it's habitat where it has everything like they are being some good special people doing a good dead. Like it is going to come to your house and cook breakfast for you if roles were reversed and cater for you, this just creates unnatural behaviour and makes them aggressive and start acting dominant, they often stronger than the average human in the first place these humans are dumb.

  • @mysteryman9641

    @Edward Stevenette dangerous? Look how many people there are it is very outnumbered and isn't larger they only do this because people are pussys and allow them to.

  • @mysteryman9641

    @mysteryman9641

    3 жыл бұрын

    @Edward Stevenette no they do that to people as a technique clearly a Orangutan don't give a toss about being a guide that won't do anything for it, it is a wild independent animal that doesn't necessarily socialise as complexly to a great degree like other animals only humans know what being a guide is you are putting human behaviours on an Orangutanit just wants food. They do it until they get food and start escalating the behaviour a bit so the reaction is more food to biting the person and stuff like that not letting go or if you give them food it will cause them to do it to get more.

  • @breAnnasmama

    @breAnnasmama

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yep. And those people are idiots for even putting themselves in that Position .. she was clearly in control and they just stand by and laugh and smile which are not gestures that should be made around apes or monkeys ... the baby was nervous and startled and couldve responded badly , which would have created chaos and stress for it and it’s mama combined , causing some nasty circumstances,,, people need to be more aware of the reality in things. They’re so often , oblivious to the most basic of things and don’t pay Attention to what’s really going on around them. It’s irritating. These ppl just have to get their little camera time and attention and they’re putting themselves at risk . Orangutans need to have a healthy fear of humans and it’s sad and a bit annoying that they don’t , bc they kind of inadvertently subject themselves to losing their environment in some ways As they don’t adapt to being able to survive further away from humans and despite ppl ruining their habitat , any animals that don’t adapt and change their behaviors are going to be falling victim somehow. Their trusting if humans and inviting them in is sad bc they don’t seem To get that by far , people are the most biggest threat to their lives and well being ... they will become extinct and not just bc of the devastation or their habitat , but bc they’re inviting humans into their world simply trusting them for food is an issue ... idk why monkeys and apes don’t learn to have a healthy fear of humans but they don’t connect the danger they pose to them , bc they’re bought off by hand outs of food ... and they also don’t see them as a threat and think they can continue to just go around begging for food and don’t get that they’re in the lessor position in doing so bc to them, sometning giving them food gives them dominance over them . Ppl need to become much more aware and it’s irritating bc they’re just getting attention and exploiting those animals , yet are also putting their lives in danger and perhaps someone else’s ,as well if anyone sees this stuff happening and gets their insight firm whatever they see done in stupid ways typical videos. Very sad.

    These orangutans are probably rehabilitated and re released. They are too familiar with the humans. Looks like a mother and child. These are very gentle apes. What a lovely video. I'm glad nothing happened to either parties.

    Im not sure how to interpret it tbh. Orangutans work way differently than us. What might be more or less friendly gesture by both spicies has much different "deeper" interpretation and she actually might try to keep him what for us is "hostage" so he provides her food. In other video the caretaker lady for captured orangutans warned about letting them get a good group on you. She spoke about males but probably have that instinct too. They just won't like go until they are bored of you and there might be some conflict if you fight out of the grip.

    I'm guessing the Orangutans in this area are very use to seeing humans on this hiking trail and have figured out humans won't hurt them and often bring food. I spent some time in Borneo and most wild Orangutans are pretty skittish around humans and instantly head for the treetops, you are lucky if you can even snap a picture. I mean size wise alone, a six-foot human would probably seem pretty scary to a three-foot Orangutan.

    For those that don't know, this is very common in Indonesia and they will actually refuse to let go many times unless you give them food. They have been known to become very aggressive and will even bite off the fingers of people. This isnt "cute" behaviour. Don't believe me? Go look up on KZread "Held hostage by an Orangutan at BukitLawang Jungle".
