Great ! I've tested both...sent back the Friedman, only the Channel 2 was worth it for my taste. The Origine Effects RD Hot Rod is still on my board. Such an amazing pedal !

Cheers 🍻Have you paired both? In my opinion, they work very well together. Although when playing live, I pair the IRX with the Origin Effects Cali76 SE compressor in front, mostly used as a booster-compressor. It adds a little grit and richness to the tone.

Sounds great - you have the is Friedman channel 1 roughly set to how I have it - I have the bright to the left

Cheers man. Mine bright switch is in the middle, but it only works when you're at a lower gain and higher volume level anyway. Mostly for almost clean guitars.

Great tone and playing! What are we hearing? Is it direct from the Friedman with IR's, or into a miked amp?

Thank you. I run it direct with loaded third party IR in the IRX. No real cab!

Great sound! What you think about having 4x12 cab in apartment, I dont want to be louder, just have fuller and smoother sound. I am thinking about marshall 1960bx, with jubilee 2525h, or jubilee 2x12 cab horizontal like yours.

Seriously how does the ir-x compare with the be 100 dlx with a load box and irs? I’m so close to getting one. I just don’t want to feel like it’s lacking.

@colinjames For me, it’s definitely worth buying. There are numerous, great-sounding uses! You can use it as a direct FOH or send it from IRX into a return as a preamp with your preferred power amp. Combine them to create a WDW (wet dry wet) setup. Experiment with different preamp tubes and load it with various IRs to alter the sound. It also serves as an excellent clean platform when paired with your favorite pedals. I’ve found almost no difference when comparing it to the BE-100 D, which I also own. In my video, I didn’t attempt to make them sound the same; they’re tuned the way I like. @@brianmersmann76 I am not familiar with the Katana, but if you want to run it through two amps, you’ll need a signal splitter of some sort. The GigRig Humdinger is great for this purpose. Additionally, you could use a stereo pedal after the IRX’s SEND and connect both outputs of the pedal to the returns of both amps. This setup allows the IRX to bypass the preamps of your amps and act as their preamp.

Third party IR (ownhammer greenbacks) in the IRX. I use the Origin as overdrive and not as a preamp.
