Sonny Seabury I'm gonna go ahead and say they are just their own thing. I don't hear some of the piercing highs you get with "plexi" amps with the Friedman stuff. It's just so much better to my ears in a lot of ways. A REAL plexi amp is rare as hell and I'm not sure anyone can reference why that word gets thrown at everything. It just sounds great for what it is. I can't say if it's a plexi or not. The oldest Marshall I've ever owned was a 70 watt metal panel 100 watter, and I sold them (had 2). The Friedman sounds better and is more functional in a lot of ways. The only time the ambient Marshall sounded good was with a variac taking the power down to 117v where the amp was designed to be. My suggestion is to head to a GC and see if the Friedman thing is for you. Don't try and compare it to the other amps. Be-deluxe kicks major ass, I don't know how someone that is looking for Modded Marshall ish tones wouldn't love it.

@@jordantee2383 honestly that is why I would say the Dirty Shirley is the amp for Page sounds. If you ask Friedman he can custom make a 100 watt version for a little more money.

The Plexi channel on the SB would be a great place to start, unmodded of course. Page was well know for his ‘68 model 1959 Superlead
Thoughts on this versus the new 100be deluxe?

this is a hot rod vintage mustang, the deluxe is a 2020 Corvette

For sure the WW SB50 is more vintage voiced compared to any of the BE's, which are more modern-voiced

Great demo! Hey how'd you do that lo-fi effect towards the end? Where the guitar got real narrow sounding. Around 9:15 or so.

Not sure but you can do that with an EQ pedal dropping all the bass frequencies and kicking it on and off (basically).
What is the riff at 5:15? Anyone?

@@RezaMatix Thanks!!!
If it's called the small box why is it as big as the biggest amp ever that jtm over there
How are you getting so much gain out of this head, I played through one in the store and it wasn’t anywhere near this saturated? Also,How does channel 2 chunk with a preamp pushed into the front like a tube screamer?
