Check out this super easy and flavorful fried Oreo recipe made by Sherri Chef Bae Smith:
Ingredients:
18 Oreo cookies ( I used Regular Oreos and Golden Oreos)
•1 1/2 cups pancake mix
•3/4 cup water
•4-6 cups of vegetable oil (for frying)
•1/8 cup powdered sugar (to garnish)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
•Glaze (optional)
Instructions:
Add the vegetable oil to a pan on medium-high heat. (If you have a thermometer the oil should read 350 degrees F.)
Place the pancake mix and water in a bowl and stir thoroughly.
Individually dip each oreo cookie into the batter, be sure to fully coat each cookie in batter then place into the oil.
Cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown on both sides. Be sure to turn/flip them occasionally to achieve desired golden brown color.
Plate the oreos and sift the powdered sugar on the top. Serve with a little or ALOT of powdered sugar : ) it's up to you. Also, feel free to make the glaze and serve it with them.
Glaze:
3 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of honey
1/2 teaspoon of milk
(Add more milk to loosen the glaze, and if you like thick glaze, just use a little splash of milk.)
