That being said, this 1 week did take a little over 3 years to come out, not that it’s a huge deal or anything, but still we’re not looking forward to waiting many years more content. I for one will wait as long as I have to, and I know being impatient isn’t gonna make the wait any shorter, but being patient won’t make the wait shorter either.🫤

The fourth song is literally what I've always wanted from the game. Not just digital vocals that can occasionally sound eh, but having stories told via other methods with the song there in the bg but still as the gameplay focus. That last one made my day. ​@@moises_reyes9216 they made a new engine from the ground up fans just use a modified version of the original engine that other fans can use for their mods. with this new engine modders can now add more content to their mods like custom transitions, end screen/score screen, better free play menu, etc.

One really neat thing, the track that starts at 1:51 is actually a remix of the track that plays in Pico's School as you talk to a boss, right before you fight them. Its been modified since the original release however, since it was taken from Hive's Ultrasonic Sound music track, so now the game uses a track that sounds similar, but is different enough, but hearing this instantly sparked my memories of the original, since it sounds so similar to it.

I have so much brainrot from the years worth of mods, that it still hasn't registered in my brain yet that this is the actual FNF Week 8.

It also shouldn't take three years though. Before the kickstarter, the dev team was small, yet updates came out every couple of months. After the devs were given two million dollars and substantially expanded their team, they kept quiet for three years regarding progress and didn't update the game *at all,* and in three years.... this is all theyve done. Some erect songs, one new week, and some UI changes. Holy shit. Yeah if the devs keep up with this pace, releasing one week every three years, we'll have this game by... hm, 40 weeks times 3 years for each one week to release, minus the 8 weeks currently in the game... ah, we'll have this game in 99 years (33 x 3 = 99)! Can't wait to play this game on my death bed in 3023!

Honestly, it's a bit silly to expect that the team is going to show off EVERYTHING and allow people to play a lot of levels from this game that will COST ACTUAL MONEY before it's released... No, they aren't going to just release all the weeks they've been working on or everything they have done. Of course not. Then there would be no point in buying it. It's not a little project anymore where they frequently put things out for the public to play; it's bigger, and there are more moving parts than any fan can see right now. Give it time. The majority of games aren't announced at all until they're already in production, and then they MAYBE release a short demo or something a few weeks before release. The fact you can play through this already is something the devs did NOT have to do, but they did it anyways for the fans.

Okay, that fourth round fistfight is an inspired addition, I hope we get more "minigame" levels like this. Also YAY FRIENDS!!! Reminder that it took three years to get this far because what started as a freebee rhythm game made by 4 people exploded into a massively overfunded KS where they had to produce dozens and dozens of new songs, animations, and possibly? characters. I always knew it was going to take a while but it's clearly worth the wait! For the record I've gotten a lot of the physical rewards already like the record/cassette/CD. I'm probably a bit older than your average FnF fan so I wonder how many parents and other adult family/friends are out there watching and having a weird moment of seeing these Newgrounds characters come back after almost 20 years and knowing where they come from (because the common attitude around Pico's original game was a LOT different in the early-mid aughts). I hope it's creating some bonding moments!

Incredible week. Very well done. Also Darnell and 2Hot were improved substantially from the beta version. Even though I liked them fine.

You know, people don’t understand that they took 3 years for not just one week, 12 remixed songs, an added week with 4+ new songs, mechanics for nene, new boombox + animation + mechanic, and a lot more shading, better animation, new death animations, new ending animation, new free play animation, cutscenes and all the weeks having new vocals for bf, and having an EXTRA MODE to make the erect songs harder and new charting, good lord people don’t understand the word “patience” I feel like it’s worth 3 years, and I kinda feel bad for the devs for getting so much hate after all that hard work just for patience ceasing to exist.

People are trying to excuse how long it took for a update, when there's mods that were made from scratch and took less then 3 years to make.

Mods don't have the burden of kickstarter backer rewards and everything that comes with that. Plus they obviously have more cooking in the background and care about what they make. Why do you care how long artists take to make their art? I guarantee that the mod creators you're idolizing fully understand why it's taking this long and would disagree with your stance.
