Fresh Flautas Served Hot And Crispy From This LA Food Stand | Fam To Table
Estiven Torres, owner of Los Dorados LA and LA’s first flautas-only eatery, became inspired after his father-in-law’s recipe was a huge hit at a 2017 family baptism. He’s since gotten the hang of expertly frying taquitos in a makeshift setting, working out of a food truck that’s stationed in front of bars on weekends. The two flautas per order cost $6. They're served fresh and piping hot, on a paper tray, topped with homemade red and green salsas, crema, and cotija cheese. Host Crystal Lee pops by to find out what makes these flautas so easy to eat.

Haven't made flautas in years! Now I'm craving them. Thanks for the inspiration. 😃
Que rico se ve eso... greetings from the old empire of Texcoco de mora
I can't belive how this regular mexican food sells out in the USA, down here it's just regular lunch for us!!! I am from LA but i have been living down here for 15 years, the food here is good, fresh and cheap here!!
It's incredible how much of meat and chicken has this flautas. Here in Mexico City all the tacos dorados only has air inside jajajajajajaja but the sauce is the real secret here
Love this
Amazing review 😍😍
It taste so good 👌
Guys the oil is dark because of the dark spices in the flautas not the because the oil has never been changed, ancho chili powder is very dark

@@fieryooze9347 lol, yeah sure i'll just make it the last thing i will ever eat. Its my dream to eat foods in different countries. Ever since i was a kid i wanted to travel and venture the whole world then one day i got hungry and watched youtube videos about food and now i'm craving for every one of those foods. I also noticed the different types of drinks and around the world so i'll just add that too. Also for me i've found out that milk is the most awesome thing i've discovered so far. I love the creaminess and it can also be applied to food in so many ways. Milk>choco😤
Holy shit, those look amazing!!

I would personally move to California just for the food. The Mexican and Korean food is the best there!

So many fail after switching to a brick & mortar restaurant - all that overhead, extra utilities and taxes, usually have to expand their menus to survive and lose the specialization.

Amazing street food, hi everybody. p/s: from vietnam ^^
Now I want one
reusing a bit of old oil and mixing it with new oil is a method used all over the world: from tempura to fried chicken and in this video, for flautas. It makes the oil less hydrophobic so it gets into better contact with your food and makes it crispier, faster. of course, if it becomes smelly it has to be discarded but the oil in the video looks fine and the chef is right.
In china, we call it spring rolls
