Here is a trick I use...when using hot glue, I use a wooden chopstick for saving my fingers lol. It also works great for gently stuffing batting into my homemade pillows, ornaments, etc. Love your decorating style!

Thanks for the tips, Mary - those are good ones! I use a low temperature glue gun so it's not quite as bad, but a wooden stick would be even better.

Very sweet winter touches. The heart garland was so cute. I think I will try that with mixed patterns in red. Also the toile lampshade was so beautiful. The edging at the top and bottom made it look very professional. How blessed to be pregnant and cozy in your little nest . Cooking , decorating , and getting ready for a new journey in life.

Thank you, Laura! I could never find a lamp shade that was the size, style, and price that I needed that would also fit the antique socket. They make adapter rings for uno shades (the single hole kind that fits over the socket) but I just never found the right shade, so my husband actually took the socket part of the lamp off, fit this shade on the neck of the lamp, and reattached/wired the socket for me. :-)

Thanks! I got that from Pier1 probably 7-8 years ago. They sold it to me at a little under half price because it had a small rip in the arm from when they delivered it to the store. :-)

Sarah's videos are too dark and gold and brown for me . Everything looks the same and is dark. i prefer your light and colorful videos. this one was wonderful. the chair in the corner under the new lamp shad could us a bright new upholstering . fun project.
