Thank you for your refreshing honesty. It does take several days to decorate the home for each new season, as is evidenced by how many different outfits you're wearing in this video. KZread influences tend to make it look as though all this beautiful decorating can be effortlessly accomplished in a single afternoon. It cannot. You made a wonderful home.

Your tutorial was truly a breath of fresh air in the world of online tutorials. I couldn't help but watch it twice while I was busy cleaning the kitchen, as your warm and welcoming voice and manner made it such a pleasant experience to listen to - I had to go back and fully watch. It's exactly what I've been hoping to find in online tutorials - a focus on making and creating a home using items we already love and own. I was pleasantly surprised and refreshed when you mentioned the Lord as the reason for the season. It's rare to hear people talk about God in their Christmas tutorials, and it's something I've been silently searching for in my holiday how-to's. Thank you for bringing that unsaid aspect to light. Such a lovely home and holiday decor. I was just thinking, I don’t know anyone else my age (mid thirties) who does this in their home these days. Then I realized it’s because I don’t know any other homemakers. I’m only able to be a stay at home mom now that I’m disabled. We have really lost something in our culture to have both parents working out of the home 40+ hrs a week. We’ve lost the sense of home itself. These kinds of videos, and my home when it’s at its best, recalls traditions and care and keeping for the home that I have only vague memories of from my grandparents. I hope some of us can rekindle these traditions and instill a deeper sense of home and family for our children.

Very pretty, I picked up the frameless tree candles as I use real ones but unlit.., they were on cyber Monday sale!! I love to use antique quilts, table linens, and vintage knitted blankets as my tree skirt

Many of these ideas move well into winter decor. We live in Southern Idaho and have snow. Last year it lasted until May. Hopefully it will end in April this year ⛄️
