I am now at level B1 for Lingoda French, so obviously je l'aime. Most classes are around 3 or 4 people, but sometimes I am the only one. The thing it does NOT give you that you need, is a way to have a spontaneous, interactive conversation, which is much harder. Still, I like that it provides a structure for learning that is also aligned with the CEFL.

Thank you for your video Dylane. Also well done for teaching yourself English at age 25. You did a great job. We live in France and I’m doing similar but at a slightly older age of 59 🥴 (I was 57 when I started). However with various learning methods I’ve reached B2 level if my online test results are to be believed. I just wanted to ask you about the infinitive verb being used in your “aider” question please. Is it a general rule that you use the infinitive verb in all questions like that? For example “tell you what?” would be “vous dire quoi?” or “show you what?” would be “vous montrer quoi?” etc etc 🤔. Thank you 😊

Great job on your B2 results 🤩🤩👏👏 As for your question, it's because it's shortened and technically the second verb. Est-ce que tu peux m'aider ? (aider is the second verb so it's the infinitive), the response is (Est-ce que je peux) t'aider avec quoi ? Does it make sense?

Thank you. Yes that does make sense now. I’ve always known that the second verb has to be in the infinitive which helped me enormously when I started learning. So when you realise the sentence is shortened it makes sense why the only verb visable is the second verb. Many thanks

Why is it Comment était ta journée, but the answer is Ma journée a été longue. Trying to understand why imparfait is under in the question but passé composé is used in the answer. Thanks.

That's a greta question! I could have used both in the imparfait or passé composé. But mixing them in spoken French doesn't seem wrong either. I will think about it and do some research :)

Merci beaucoup pour ces exercices et enregistrements sur le verbe faire ici et sur votre site web. Le son des enregistrements y est bien meilleur que sur cette vidéo KZread, où l'enregistrement souffre beaucoup de l'écho de la pièce. La réverbération déforme votre voix, ce qui la rend plus difficile à comprendre. Je vous suggère respectueusement d'enregistrer dans une pièce avec moins d'écho et avec votre bouche près du microphone. C'est ce que vous avez fait pour les enregistrements de qualité supérieure sur votre site web.
