Spaniards try to emulate (a little) the French pronunciation, because we see these brands in television advertisements and it sounds better for everyone. If we kept our pronunciation we would say Yves Saint Laurent or Givenchy in a very worst way 😂

Ana's "r" in these words is strong like italian and spanish because of the accent of where she's from but in some places of brazil the "r" would be close to the french one. In brazil the "r" has different pronunciations, we have a lot of accents here, it would be nice if ana mentioned that, i love this channel btw. :)

Interesting, we do also have different accent about "R" here in Indonesia. Mostly people would say strong rolled "r" just like how it shown in video, but for Malay descendant (Indonesian also have Malay ethnic in the northern area), people would say soft "r" (like english), or sometimes it just silent.

I think Elita did well representing how we Indonesians would pronounce these brands. It’s either we try to pronounce them with our own spelling, or we would attempt the English versions but still with our own accent. There would be a small minority of people who try to pronounce them in French, but this is super rare. Even the actual people who are loyal costumers of these branded items would assume that the English pronunciations are the correct ones. Try to correct their pronunciation and they wouldn’t believe you 😂

It is a playful language made for arts, games and sports, fashion, gastronomy, full of allophony, the opposite of the logic of language and actually healthy linguistics. @@Satin_Persona_Latina Eu sempre ouvi falarem igual ela falou. "Luí Viton". Normalmente se falaria o "s", mas acho que pegou fama o jeito francês e a galera acostumou. Acho que se for parar pra ler, a maioria dos brasileiros leriam diferente, mas como virou marca famosa, pessoal repete como ouviu. Mas isso pode variar de região pra região, de grupo pra grupo, etc.
