Kudos to you for spending so much time on something that will never be seen again

Yea, I'm not really that type of modeler either...If it can't be seen, don't worry about it. However, in this case there is a lot of really nice features that are just "fun" to work with, even though they won't be seen again. Hum. Thanks for watching.
Open the hatches! That engine is too nice to hide!

Yes, I hear you. They are not glued...leaving my options "open", so to speak. Thanks, and take care.
This is great Rick - this kit is the oldest in my stash, I've been putting off building it for years but you've given me some inspiration here! Many thanks, Chris

I posted a reply to you on FB...thanks for all of the support. You should give it a go, it's a lot of fun - something different - and I know that you'd knock it out of the park (sorry, US baseball term). Cheers.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I built this fine kit a couple of years ago. After much research, I was able to add many more details. To add some rounds to all those empty ammo racks I was able to source some from Shapeways. Looking forward to seeing how things progress, especially when it comes to your excellent weathering methods!

Hey Joe. Yep, there is room to do a lot with this kit. The scale really lends itself to becoming totally immersed. It's good to know that the 30mm shells are available, thanks for that. Not sure I'll use them on this one, but they are certainly required if one was to "go for it" as it sounds like you have. Thanks for watching.
Love to detail engines….if I’m in the right mood! Nice so far👍

You and me both!
Hilarious music. One of my favourite tanks. Engine work looks great thanks to the metallic paints used. Good idea to wire it. Weathering adds to the depth of the different sections. Nice progress! 👍

Great video. Im building the Meng 1/35 FT at the moment too. Cant decide on a camo scheme tho. The french have so many interesting camo schemes.
@RickLawlerPropaganda
Жыл бұрын
Yea, it's hard to decide on the camo. I think I'll go more or less 3 color w/black outlines. Traditional.
Yes! Really excited for this one! I actually bought it on Black Friday so will be taking notes for my own build 😄 WW1 camo schemes are much more colorful and exciting.

Have fun with yours!
I've built this kit. At this scale it wasn't hard to make the hatches workable so all your hard work is visible.

Yep, all of the hatches are still operable. The insides will still be viewable. thanks.
Excellent work till now 👍

Thank you! Cheers! I'll try to keep it up.
Great work. I have started to us the Gen 3 paints for details but not for airbrushing. What is your set up? 0.3mm needle? Thinned? I normally paint with AK real color lacquer so not too familiar with acrylics in the airbrush. Thank you.

Jeff. I generally AB the Real Colors, and brush paint using Gen 3- but wanted to change it up a bit on this. I use an Iwata HP-C w/.3 needle, pressure just depends but usually mid 20's psi, thinned using Gen 3 thinner about 3:1...paint to thinner, but again, it just depends. I tend to go by look and feel. As with all acrylic AB painting, first layer is just a light coat to give it a start and then let dry (minutes), and then go about applying more layers. Hope it helps.

@@RickLawlerPropaganda thank you, I’ll t does.
Great stuff Rick! I’m very curious about how this interior will turn out but no doubt it will be breathtaking. Any decisions on the exterior paint scheme already? I’m following this with the greatest interest! Cheers!

Hi Jeroen, and thanks for watching. I am going to go traditional (boring) camo on this - basic 3 tone with black outline. It fits the markings available. Don't get your expectations too high!!!! Thanks again.
Nice done, I must remember these True Metals. All the best for You! ;)

These beautifully painted and weathered interiors that are then enclosed never to be seen again is like dressing a Playmate Of The Year in a head to toe burka…🙂…a beautiful rendition nonetheless
Super big project ahead, any scene planned for it?
@RickLawlerPropaganda

Hi...and yes, I do think that I will give a scene a try. It will be somewhat if a challenge at this scale due to size, but also a good opportunity to do some nice groundwork?
a lovely little tank. I'm building the ft-17 also (the paint job blocks me)

@@RickLawlerPropaganda yes I agree. Fascinating that you have conjured up texture on the flat seat with just paint. I had used a piece of aluminium foil. One of many options
