French dancers freak out to Jamie XX's "Gosh"

Фильм және анимация

Manon Bouquet is a French stage artist and choreographer whose work has community and exchange as central themes. In her latest project, Le Groupe, she explores the artistic stagnation that arose from the pandemic and how collaborative energies, inspired by love and interdependency, helped her through the dark days. The soundtrack, Jaime XX’s “Gosh,” recalls the halcyon days of clubbing and sets the tempo for the cast of dancers who freak out in time to the deep bassline and wistful-sounding keys... continue reading on www.nowness.com/series/just-d...

Got you : Time, the only tool I had left, helped me worked the ideas that were colliding in my overflowing mind. A simple need : sharing the dance, again. Nothing happens randomly, each thing comes with timing in our lives. From this frustration, was born this project, testimony of the many questions that I asked myself during this time of artistic emptiness. The beginning was full of positivity, I was full of hope, this was my guideline. A course I was trying to maintain. This introspection allowed the manifestation of everything that was bottled in. The fall, the slump but with them, the precious Help that comes thanks to the Love of others, your circle and the support. I then realized with passion and certainty the need of the Other, for a flourishing and balanced lifestyle. Mutual help, support and sharing allows one to grow and evolve in peace and serenity. If I am alone with my thoughts, but have no one to share them with, to feel with intensity what I have to say, then all of it is useless. Everything is a transition, sharing with others because I am me but also Other for the Other.

Only the French would describe a tightly choreographed routine as a 'freak out.' Really do not want to know what the concluding text means, but I can read enough to cringe.

Exactly how little of the beauty of the world do you really want to know? How often must you cringe?

  • @patrickwalsh8769

Why are you here? Do you feel the need to criticise everything you come into contact with in your everyday life? You cringe because you want to cringe, not because you understand and believe it is insincere or wanky. It takes a lot of energy to be bitter and angry in this life. Try releasing or funneling that bitterness and anger into something productive rather than negative youtube comments - the world would be a better place for it. Choreograph your own routine and don't call it a freakout, if you think you can do better. We're waiting.

@@brtt_ No one forced him/her or anyone else to watch this, I also watched this thinking it was gonna be good. Ended up disappointed as well. So can y'all stop saying shit like "why are you here" "why are you commenting" "people can do whatever they want" ? We never said they can't do what they want, y'all can't take criticism at all or what ? The video is bad point blank period. Everyone these days are doing some non-sense like this and they try to call it "art". This ain't art lol, sorry for having opinions that aren't the same as you.
