French and Entrepreneur: France Fromages, Tours (Episode 5)

Welcome to Episode 5 of our video series, “French and Entrepreneur” introducing business owners, artisans and artists - and some of my favorite addresses in La Belle France.
Video in French. English subtitles.
🧀 🧀 🧀
Meet Adeline and Hans Krischer, owners of “France Fromages” the oldest cheesemonger at les Halles, Tours’ renowned covered food market.
Hans is a master cheese maker. He works with a network of excellent producers located all over France and ripens many of the cheeses on site as a “fromager affineur.”
Adeline is a great help in running this successful local business.
Both are passionate about cheese, a long standing tradition in Hans’ family.
In this 20 minute interview, Adeline and Hans answer my questions in great detail.
As a bonus, Hans demonstrates how to slice cheese with challenging shapes, a lesson you won’t want to miss!
Watch, listen and learn. I certainly did.

What a charming and informative interview. This series on local Tours businesses is well worth watching. You are doing for Tours what Rick Steves has done for various villages, towns and regions throughout Europe. I hope the local Tours city administrative folks are aware of your efforts to promoteTours.
