Fremtidens Lyd / The Sound of the Future: Scandinavian Cello School presents the next generation of classical musicians.

The concept is simple: talented musicians aged typically 18-25 from both Denmark and abroad are invited for a fully immersed residency at Scandinavian Cello School (SCS). The musicians are either soloists or pre-formed chamber groups. Coaching, team-building activities, and career advancement courses will take place side by side with alternative educational experiences that SCS is renowned for - such as fishing, collective living and helping in the vegetable garden. Alongside other performance opportunities, the culmination of the stay is a showcase concert in the popular “SCS Next Generation” series.
Since 2018 NOVO Quartet have taken part in numerous projects through SCS and from 2024-26 are part of the SKF “Young Artistic Elite” scheme with director of SCS, Jacob Shaw, as artistic consultant.
