Looks like it came out good. good vid. interesting . i would of never done it that way. i would of probably just unlocked the walls and slid New frame into place. But, this looks like a good alternative. ill have to keep this way in mind. i wish u would have shown how u connected electrical to door frame heaters. good vid.

Thanks a bunch! Its a pretty common practice in a walk in coolers manufactures. We retrofit couple of freezers this way. Some good experienced managers at RSDs are offering always that solution if you come with the for frame issues questions also if you call any box manufacturer they will know what you asking them for. I didn't understand why we got double frame from manufacturer, but now I guess due to 4" thick panels requirement for freezers, otherwise we would just install only the frame that had a door on it. My partner Cody was doing electrical on this one, he doesn't carry camera with him.

there was common hot wire coming to the light fixture, then it splits to light switch and comes back to the light and he took that common to heater, neutral was constant to everything, pretty easy.

Can I order the door from Bakers, Johnstone, United Refrigeration..... I have to quote a door retrofit to a customer.

I think RSD can order for you, not sure if others do it.

i hope everything was covered in that walk in or foods gonna have a foamy taste to it for a while, kinda gritty taste too. Lol !

so, you got rid of the air balance vent port between freezer and fridge side? isn't the new door hard to open and close now? or did it have a port on it I missed

Ill have to add that air vent at winter when it will get slower with service calls. Door closes just fine at the moment.

Not as critical since the freezer is inside of the cooler but will still have an issue.

I don't recall. Sorry. But your refer guy will need to look at it. In some situations there are more damage to the frame and this solution might not work.

Love that “movie” edit ! Nice work with installation door. I’m wondering that new door come with heater or use existing one ?

@@MaratRPMSoCal frankly the techno or whatever noise/music that is on many of your vids along with herky jerky camera movements is what makes it difficult to watch sometimes for me, but I'm just a cranky old you kids get off my lawn kind of guy in general! In any case, thanks for the ride along!
