Why does this channel only have around 700 subscribers... just why? That feels just wrong ...

How would I rotate the base to say 30 degrees instead of being flat?

Really great videos. Thank you. Just one question. When the pockets are not in the middle, but right on one side, I have to trimm the side, which leads to loss of several constraints - do I do something wrong?

Hey there! Most likely you would be losing a "vertical" or "horizontal" constraint when you use the trim tool. You see when you cut a line, the software makes a decision on which resulting line segment should get the constraint that used to be applied to the full line. So you may have to apply that constraint to the new section of line created by the trim. Also, you may need to apply vertical/horizontal to the points of your corners to ensure they stay aligned.
