FREE VR Games for Quest 2 you NEED to Try (+ SteamVR)
Ғылым және технология
I think we're all feelin the VR content draught, but I've been digging for some games that are awesome, but won't destroy your wallet
Here are some of the best FREE VR applications I have found. Of course I added VRChat and RecRoom, both things you can live in forever- but there's about 17 other ones that are simply awesome. This video actually took LONGER than I expected because i was too busy playing them, SO! Go play some free VR Games, all you have to lose is time.
A lot of these games are either free on SteamVR or are on Oculus App Lab- available for Quest 2, but some of them are straight up store games. All you have to do is search for them! No sideloading needed.

Tea for God is one of the games that really sold vr for me. It has a simple art style, but nothing beats actually moving through the world on your own two feet. As a quest 2 owner without that much money for VR games, this free game list was really awesome and i would definitely be up for a part two as this helped me a ton, thanks so much thrill for improving VR for everyone.
We Are One! It's a Puzzle Shooter that you make clones and time loop through the levels. It's one of the first games I show People VR since it's got a simple but fun challenge to it.
Thank you so much for this content!! It's surprisingly hard to find really fun free games on quest. Your videos are what brought me into VR and it has been the best decision that I've made in a long time. VR is fascinating.

I have to recommend Battle Talent. Its one of my favorite vr games and I’ve spent a bunch of hours in this game. Going through the mazes and sandbox with the regular weapons and the hundreds of moded weapons is just so fun and I never get tired of it. Sometimes it can be a little buggy and the npcs can be challenging if you’re using the normal weapons but other than that I love this game.

One of the first experiences I played when I got my oculus rift about 3 years ago was mission ISS. I'm absolutely in love with space and astro-research and have been ever since I looked up at the stars as a kid, so to be able to experience what it's like inside the ISS and to do a space walk, especially as one of my first (6 DOF) VR experiences, was something absolutely wild to me. Even though it's pretty limited in what you can and cant do, you can still go around and get a run down on what everything is and everything in there is super detailed. The zero g physics are also pretty fun although disorienting at times. It's a free experience and is well worth a try, even if you're not that into space.
YES!! I'm so happy you included ancient dungeon!! I just got my quest 2 a few days ago and ancient dungeon is my favorite game currently :) Nice to see other people appreciate it too

This is perfect timing! I got a quest 2 yesterday and I have been looking for some games.
I’d really recommend We Are One It’s a free app lab game that I love. There isn’t way too long of game play, only a few hours, but it’s a blast and it’s a very creative idea. Basically the game is you need to hit targets and kill monsters, but there’s an interesting twist to it that I don’t want to spoil. Just go check it out, it’s pretty cool.

I also really like Harvest VR, another app lab game. It’s basically a farming simulator but I really like it.
I've always wanted to play VR chat. Looks hella fun, I've been following it for 4-5 years now. I had fun in desktop mode one time, and even bought a quest 2 (despite hating how facebooks been handling it) specifically for VR chat pc mode. I earned rank after a few hours in, and bought an avatar of a character I'm fond of. I spent a few hours just sitting alone with my new avatar, and I haven't played since. I want to, pretty much everyday, but I can't seem to get myself to go in. I live a pretty shut in life, I share an apartment with my father and have no friends outside of work, and have maybe three I'd consider work friends and only one I share a few interests with. I can't seem to get myself to play while my father is home, not entirely sure why, but I think it has something to do with not wanting to disturb him or something? And even when I'm home alone, I can't pull myself to hop in probably due to social anxiety and what I'd have to guess is some form of burn out, but that's a long depressing story. I wish I could just hop in and make a few friends, but when I'm holed up in my head its a lot more complicated than just do or do not
@jakeaurod

You could try it in desktop mode for a while, for less of a mental committment, and see if that helps. I've been on desktop for 2 months and was thinking about getting a quest 2. I made several good friends... although recent drama and mental illness makes me fear that I've lost all of them.
@swampcooler8332
Жыл бұрын
@@jakeaurod I was able to play in desktop mode and had a lot of fun one time almost 2 years ago, but the thing that was missing was the VR part. It kind of made me feel like an outsider with a lot of people in VR. I didn't get that playing in the steam VR quest version, and was 100% a better more fun experience for me and no more of a commitment, and I'd take going in on VR over desktop mode any day. The problem is with me. As for you, I'd say it would most likely be worth it, but everything considered it would be up to your personal preference and financial situation so I won't try and say you'll not regret it later down the line. I'd say chug a hard seltzer or lemonade if your old enough to drink or a coffee if not, (I find the ever so slight impairment from a small amount of alcohol or caffeine usually makes me more sociable or extroverted and open) and chase down those friends and make sure not to loose them, or at the very least end things off on good terms. You will regret it down the road. You also can't afford to let yourself go with mental problems, so try your best, force yourself if you have to, find a way to make things better even if just a bit. And those friends could help a bit to.
@jakeaurod
Жыл бұрын
@@swampcooler8332 Maybe getting VR would work better for me. A friend had a breakdown and all I could do is stand there like a talking mannequin instead of give her a hug, even if it was merely virtual... of course, she may not have wanted a hug from me since I'm older than the average player. It's been an emotional rollercoaster. I went into VRC to relearn to socialize after suffering a brain injury and there are days I think it was a mistake to wake up from the coma.
@swampcooler8332
Жыл бұрын
@@jakeaurod I know I'm not a therapist or anything, but it almost sounds like you still need to "wake up" a bit from that coma. Don't let the errors of your past bring you down now, there is nothing but progress to be made! Even if you don't know what to say or do, just be there for your friend and I'm sure it will work out. The good thing about virtual reality is that age doesn't really matter all that much (as long as, you know, she's not 10 and your not a creep or an ahole about it). So try not to worry about being a bit older than most of the rest of the people there. I'm only 21 but I'd befriend someone in their 60s in a heartbeat if they're cool about it and just generally a good person. I know there is probably a good few people in VR that would disagree and shun you for that, but that's not the person to hang around and their words mean nothing to you as long as you don't let them. Try to cheer up man, and sorry for making you read an essay for the third time

loved the video, would be happy to see a list for not free games too :)) as someone who doesn't have VR yet (but wants to), i know practicaly no games other than the main stream ones (vr chat and pavlov) so it's really nice to get to see some more incredible games
LETS GO ANCIENT DUNGEON THE GOAT. Could've mentioned that the paid version is also out since a lot of people seem to miss that but the community loves the recognition either way ❤
Gotta second Gun Raiders. The mechanics all feel so incredibly polished for a free game. Shooting, climbing, flying all feel fantastic. Easily my favorite multiplayer VR game.
I was playing bigscreen for hours thank you for showing me it
Thanks for the info on the free games
Goliath was the very first app I downloaded and saw in vr. Amazing intro to vr. HiBow, there is not a single day that I don’t log in for a few at least. Adrenaline to the moon and lots of fun, super fast pace, amazingly done, great physics
Nice! look forward to the next one
This is like the tenth video I've seen like this at least since the quest has come out and I don't even search these videos up 😂 always a fun watch tho
Goliath was such an amazing use of VR to me, absolutely amazing experience

Thank you brother for bringing these gems to my attention
Such an amazing list! I hope in the near future you will have to make a whole new video because of all the new content. Finger crossed.😀
Thank you very much for this list: I just got a Quest 2 to replace my old Rift, and wanted to have some stuff installed on it so I could show it off to people not experienced with VR
This is sick I got my Quest a couple weeks ago and never found the time to explore everything on the store. Thanks thrill!
Goliath: Playing With Reality was one of first VR game I played with the quest it was an unreal experience.
I did not know how much my quest was capable of until now I played Pavlov shack for HOURS after this video thank you very very much.

Genuinely gonna try some of the applab games there's actually so many I was unaware of
This was really helpful
I baught the full Version of Ancient Dungeons and it's the best 20€ game I played on quest yet. Love it!
ill definitely keep this video in mind
Thank you :) got quest on Tuesday and been feeling really lonely these times ill try liminal and stuff like that ❤️
Mission iss is the first vr experience I ever had. Luckily, I did not feel sick, but I was incredibly immersed and, I don't know how else to explain it, whenever I touched something or moved, I could feel it. 10/10 vr experience.
Battle talent was one of my first Quest games that I really loved enough to play every day.
