I am 58 and been hunting since 12. Never done this. Great idea. Huge time saver on a new property to do this at home before ya go to scout using arial map. Nice job.

Hey Matt, good question. I don't have any hard evidence to state fact on this one. We take walks on occassion with a German Shepherd, and it doesn't seem to have a detrimental effect, but they she is trained to stay close to us, sometimes leashed, and doesn't get to roam into bedding areas. My OPINION is to keep them out of bedding areas, don't let them roam free to chase, stick to the trails, and it should not be an issue. We all bought property to enjoy it, and if taking a walk with your dog is part of it, then do it. I know habitat consultant Jake Ehlinger of Habitat Solutions 360 purposely takes his dog Pepper for walks around his property every day to enjoy the great outdoors and desensitize the deer to their presence, and he has great success hunting his property.
