There’s actually a patcher Plugin someone posted on YT called FL-20 that’s supposed to emulate RC20. Also Vital (free version) doesn’t have those gritty synths you hear in rage trap beats, so for those I’d recommend Surge. As an Omnisphere alternative, it’s kind of hard to beat, but Soundship ($25), XPand2 ($15), and Iota Mini have some good sounds. And Kontakt libraries are also super popular, but most of them require the paid version, but Sonatina Orchestra, VSCO2 Orchestra, and DSK World Strings/Indian DreamZ/Asian DreamZ are some good sampled instrument vsts

Wdym Vital doesn't have gritty synths? Some of the craziest sounds I have made were in Vital. Check out Infekt - Spitifre for example, he said that main bass is all Vital, although depending on your definition of gritty that might not be the timbre you are describing. Either way Vital def has the capability to make "dirty" sounds especially as you have an extra oscillator to chain FM unlike in Serum where your third can only be basic shapes.

If you’re looking for some plugins that are stock within FL as well, saturation can he done with WaveShaper and Effector has a really nice bitcrusher. WaveShaper is actually a limiter, distortion, and saturation in one plugin. Changing the curve of the line is saturation (after a certain point, it starts becoming distortion, though), changing where the top point on the line is along the top of the box is distortion (once again, only useful to use this technique to an extent), and no matter what position the line is in (so long as the line(s) always end at the top of the box) will limit the sound to 0db. This last feature is VERY nice to have, considering it only limits the total loudness instead of any frequencies like certain limiters might do. Effector also has a distortion effect, but it seems a bit extreme for most cases, so only use that sparingly. The lofi (or bitcrusher) is really nice though.

Try reinstalling vital, Im in Fl as well and never had that issue. You don't even need to bother with the presets its all incredibly intuitive. As a long time serum user it took me like an hour to get used to it, the interface is very simple it just 1 extra oscillator, and the FX tab is literally identical and so is matrix. Its such a dope plugin it can do almost everything serum can and in a couple areas its a bit better such as all those incredible warp modes. The only thing I really miss from serum is the wavetable editor. I make almost all my wavetables from scratch and I find Vital lacks in that department although maybe I just need to keep playing around with it. Either way you can just do all your wavetable design in serum then import the tables in to vital and use the dank warp modes to get the best of both worlds. Also I don't recommend using the FL stock limiter its too long to go into here but it has a lot of issues and causes more distortion than other limiters. There's plenty of free ones out there but limiters are so crucial it might be worth the investment into something like Fab Filter Pro L. Same with EQ, you need that option for linear phase to be able to deal with phasing issues caused by EQing and FL stock is garbage at that. Not to mention Left/Right and Mid/Side. yes you can recreate that by using patcher but its just a lot of extra steps. Been using Pro Q and never looked back. The dynamic EQ function is just an added bonus on top of incredible linear and natural phase control as well as laser sharp precision to deal with unwanted frequencies.
