Bedroom Producer vs Industry Producer: What’s The Difference?
Музыка
In this video, I brought in 4 producers and I gave them only 10 minutes to flip the exact same sample! We are going to learn what is the difference between an amateur bedroom producer vs an experienced industry producer!

New producers, don’t let this fool you. Take your time to perfect your beats. You don’t need to rush

What do you think is a perfect beat? Therr's no such thing as perfect beat since music is subjective. sometimes, beats that sounds messy are one of the rawest sound I've heard.

yes but also dont be lazy about organizing sounds and presets, it really does take you to another level and it doesnt really take that long. you can always reorganize later if you dont like your current system. dont think aboout it too much

correct its just for fun like if u make 1 beat one day you can achive many new techniques thats how i like to do it

And youll later find that you are still kind of fresh in this dont mean to discourage but youre at that point where everything amazes you, even me 8 years into it when i was at your point there was a ton of shit i didnt know that i do now, with that said, the things that became most important to me was the things that became second nature to me because those are skills you dont learn overnight like the one guy in the video who talks about having set ways to do things sometimes it can be limiting of creativity or it increase workflow by sooooooo much and help you finish songs quicker instead

For beginners: Try a lot of different styles and instruments. Instead of dragging and dropping and cherry picking your drum sounds, try using a VST (or FPC if you have FL Studio) that has the entire kit ready in one instrument track. Maybe instead of trap or rap you try orchestral music or even synth wave. Experimentation comes with a lot of experience. After you gain enough experience, you could choose a few types of music you like to make best. Or you could do what I do and make whatever you want.

I have been producing for like an year, a lot of my tracks are trap but I feel very good when I make something which is not trap... I like to experiment with stuff like once I made a heavenly, sweet track and tried getting a drill beat to work on it... Recently I tried the House and synthwave genres and it's fun to get out of your zone and try stuff out...

@@sparcomusic887 try listening to other types of music, and maybe even play a few games to either relax or inspire your next track. Though if it ever comes down to it, I recommend just forcing yourself to do it. Might tell your inner self “hey I’m still good at this”. (This has happened a lot to me)
crazy how simon used his voice to make that loop bro
New producers didn’t think about the artist that may want to get on it. I’d say that was the #1 distinct difference besides the speed/confidence at producing. Awesome video as always 🤙🏼

fr ppl on yt make cool beats but they are mostly unrappable and just demonstrations of what they can do. artists need sumn cool , simple and that works, most of the time

Can we talk about how the sample Simon chopped up was incredible 😭
kxvi is so sick, hes so honest and real when it comes to the industry side of things, idk him well as a producer idk any of his songs but i learn the profit side of things from him while cxdy has helped me more with dumbing my shit down making sure i havent got too many elements, he says to get each of your melodies and play it with the drums or something like that and if its good on its own itll be good in a song but kxvi taught me about earning more money from my released music and how to make money selling melody kits and stuff
Simon I really wanna thank you for this video my G. I’ve been producing 2 years now and seeing this really has inspired me in many ways with sound selections and designs
this is amazing, these new producers are talented! let them learn, cook and try stuff out. if they keep at it they are gonna be a force to be reconed with :)
hi Simon, I just want to thank you because for now more than 5 years you have been entertaining me and always teaching me something new. I started producing before following you but from the moment I saw your video I really started to fall in love with music. although you have matured along with your channel, you have always managed to remain original in your content while retaining your humor which makes learning more enjoyable. I hope for you in an ever bigger future because you really deserve it and I hope you never stop bringing us your videos because no one could imitate you. unfortunately at the moment I don't have the possibility to support you by purchasing your course but I will do my best to do it as soon as possible. sorry for the length of the message. "if you liked my message leave a heart, if you really liked it leave a comment, if you didn't like it just leave, leave, get outta here!" greetings from Stefano aka AtmosphereOMG from Italy. 👽
2 weeks of production experience vs 25x platinum 💀 in what world is this fair

Don’t want to diss Edtalenti and Kyle, but you and Simon are definitely the best KZread producers.
The one thing that separates the top 100 on Spotify and complete flops of songs are just the melody itself. I think you should do a melody/songwriting challenge. Then we can really see the difference. Especially Because most hits are recycled melodies from other songs.

One thing I wish I had learned early on is; only hard core experimental nerds and other producers can pick out or care about your perfect bleep or bloop. Learn when the mix is good enough and make beats, don't get caught up engineering everything.

As a producer who moved from logic x pro to the free trial of fl studio, there is nothing that doesn't reaffirm my belief that fl studio is better. (this is opinion and specific to what I produce tho) like the worklfow of Logic x pro doesn't let you work fast for anything
Just be yourself time will make u prefect beginners producer
This has helped me a lot: * Mix with a reference track * Have custom templates ready to go( to save time setting up instead of creating) * Good sound selection(discard bad sounding vst's, samples, instruments, recordings etc and keep the good ones) * Make a folder of all your sounds for future songs for instant inspiration or just to have your own sound or to save time making or scrolling through sounds * Analyse your favorite songs (structure, arrangement, type of sounds it uses etc) Also you may have to go through a lot of songs or experience to get to where you'd like to be.
