Celibrini seems like a really nice, well spoken kid. With that in mind, a thought from this interview: It's sad to me that almost every kid that makes it to the NHL comes from a rich family now. At least the Canadian kids. Just listening to him talk about his upbringing, and the opportunities and support he had. And I don't begrudge him, or his family that. I'm working hard in my life so that my (future) kids will have it better than I had it. So I'm not trying to dismiss his talent or work ethic, or what he's parents did help get him where he is today. That's the goal, what else do you work for if not to support your family and give your kids opportunities. It just strikes me that you don't hear about too many sons-of-plumbers or mechanics or other working class, or even middle class, families anymore. Hardly an original take from me. Hockey Canada knows the affordability of this sport has been an issue for a long time that just gets worse and worse. And now with summer ice, year round special coaching and skills development for the kids, it's just widening that gap. Have to think that there's a huge untapped pool of potential superstars out there who's parents just can't keep up. Just was pretty striking listening to him talk about his upbringing and family (and he's far from the only one). But again, seems like a very grounded, well spoken, nice young kid, which is a credit to the family as well.

Who is RA?

Not a single soul in MTL is worried about that Slaf contract. If you watched the games this season you know. There is no stopping this kid from now on. Hockey Iq question was valid before I understand but it's really gone now. After christmas with the first line he was spectacular, all analysts who hated him were in shock and amazed by what we saw game after game after game.

The sharks should trade for Askarov. He fits the time frame of Celebrini, Smith, Eklund, Musty, Mukuhmadullin and Dickinson! I would trade Bystedt, Endstrom or Bordeleau.

No, they got Guentzel because he’s younger and a much more valuable player at ES. He’s scored more goals and had more assists 5v5 than Stamkos has the last two years.

@@CapsBrotha Disagree. 5v5 is more important than PP production in the postseason. It wasn’t just two in, two out. They also used that cap to re-sign Hedman while receiving Connor Geekie in the Serg trade. He can easily become a stud.

The whole Celebrini family was supposed to fly back home from Vegas on Sunday. Macklin had them all leave the next day so he could get a skating session in on Sunday ahead of the Sharks Rookie Camp. The kid is going to be a dawg for the Sharks! 😂

Honestly after watching this it's hard not to come away super impressed by Celebrini. Incredibly intelligent kid, he will be a star in the NHL. As a Habs fan it's so exciting to hear the way he speaks about Lane Hutson.

We see ROR has listed his summer house outside Goderich for sale. Probably not needed now his season is going to be a month longer!!

The Habs’ biggest issue used to be player development but a lot to be positive with St. Louis leading the way

Okposo played like every shift he wanted to outdo his last one. Kind of like doing push-ups where you say "im going to do one more than the most I've ever done, and then you do". I felt like he played his heart out and he didn't score, but he really did grind the other team down. He was way more effective than numbers can show and I was glad he was a part of that run.

I don’t think it’s much of a gamble on Slaf. I can tell yall don’t really watch Montreal at all because Slaf had something like 43 in his last 50 games.

Lightning fan here, so pissed about the Stamkos situation. Stamkos through 16 years has made our franchise relevant and led us to 4 cups. JBB has no doubt pissed us fans off first with the Jeannot trade and now Stamkos. Not to mention the pathetic tribute video they gave him

I revel at the fact of how none of the NHL analysts are talking about the Caps despite the fact of how post draft/free agency day the Caps are by far the most improved team in the Eastern Conference if not the entire league.

Matt Duchene is making 3 Mil for 1 year and it’s widely accepted as a major discount. If you’re Tampa, why even offer Stamkos at all?
