Re: Kyrou, sometimes when a post pops up that causes a strong negative reaction I go look for the full clip or quote to see for myself, 'cause I've seen sports media using partial quotes or certain framing to pursue crass clicks. Interesting POV on patriotism and whether courting younger viewers translates into something tangible from an ESPN guy.

To take on the Rantanen case. I'v seen the interview were Ismo Lehkonen speculated with the reasons why Mikko had difficulties to score points. He thought that maybe Mikko went to too many unneccessery happenings with sponsors ect that was disturbing his normal practice rythm. Ismo knows Mikko very well 'cause Lehki and Mikko are very good friends from way back as the play juniors in the same TPS team. Ismo knows exactly Mikkos practice mentality so he wasn't chirping on him! I think this is more about Mikko cought up in the moment knowing he could't produce and answering without thinking further about what Ismo said. Ismo is very controvercial character but has his fare share of knowlidge about hockey. Former Finnish liiga player. Liiga, Mestis and high level junior coach. Coached several NHL and other professional players that originates from Turku area. If I recall right he have coached both Mikko and Lehky. He have coaced at least Kaapo Kakko for sure as Timo Pärssinen who made a stint in the NHL, father of Juuso Pärssinen in Nashville. By this I try to explain that Ismo just speculated because he was asked in TV what hes oppinion thoughts was to Mikkos drought.

The only reasons these colleges haven't gone NCAA is due to two things. 1. Money 2. Title IX (9) To bypass Title 9 you need to have enough money to fund BOTH Men's & Women's Hockey. ASU & Penn State are prime examples of how to do this properly.
