This wasn't too bad! The ocean is just a flat plane with a noise map for the waves - those large swirls are a super faint roughness map from a satellite image (love using textures from the most peculiar places). There's an ocean foam overlay that gets masked using ambient occlusion - it's a super effective trick!

when you want to make a complex scene like that, break it down into its core elements: look up how to make a sand island with water, then comes the boats and etc... (ofc you resort to this if you dont find a tutorial covering everything)

How do you make the windows have light for night??

Can't say I'm a big fan of your sneaky website UX to upgrade an account. Kept having to log in, try different browsers, figure out the star logo means to upgrades... Just a minor criticism. I'm very thankful for the top notch content and for these tutorials and I understand why the UX is the way it is. I'm just not sure technically sound people appreciate it?

Oh yes! For that, I animated the metallic/roughness maps and put that into the emission channel (since they were very bright around the window areas) with an orange tint - updating these in the future with more "official" emission textures will be great addition!

Yes! You may have to do a little work for collision accuracy if you want to use as a game, but if you're using them for a cinematic, they should be all set.

what happens when you try to download? Make sure you're logged into an account, free accounts only get 5 daily downloads so you maybe hit your limit.

Register for an account and log in, at which point you should see a link to "3D and AR" (probably near the top of the page). Hover your mouse pointer over that and you'll see a pop-up menu from which you can choose "Ancient" (under "Models"), and clicking on that should take you to a bunch of models, including one labeled "Medieval Castle Kit." The details of using it depend on your 3D software, such as Blender.

Actually, in that $15 option, there is a check box at the bottom that says it's a donation. Uncheck that box and it is free i'm using it now.

For those who think it's paid, let me say that no it's free. Just go down in the description box and click on the very first link and you will be headed to a page. There scroll down and you will see various formats you can select to download. All are free except the unreal one. Select the blender one and download the amazing pack just for free!

That depends on the specifics of what you want to do and what software you're using. There are a bunch of tutorials on this channel (see also the Production Crate website) that might help, and lots of other VFX tutorials on KZread that cover relevant topics such as compositing.

production crate is the best according to me but problem is you have to pay and i sadly dont have money😢

Good news! You don't have to pay. If you register for a free account they'll ask you to make a voluntary donation to support their work, but that's up to you. If you can't afford to pay anything, just change the amount to zero. To be clear, I'm just a (paying) Production Crate customer and fan. I don't work for them, but I admire and appreciate what they do.

Yes, if it’s a structural modeling portfolio! If you’re a lighting, animation, concept artist, etc making everything from scratch wouldn’t work

Yes, it's actually free, as in no money. Just register for an account and you can download the assets. You'll be asked to make a voluntary donation, but you can set the amount to zero. Personally I'm happy to be a paying customer, but I think it's great that they make so much available on a pay-what-you-want basis, even if what you want to pay is zero.

You have to make an account in that site after you make one, you can download it for free. It worked on me.
