    saving 10% is an UNDERSTATEMENT. With a really good kit you can do in a day what could easily take up to half a year

    Kitbashing seems like a great way to save time! Especially for solo/indiedevs :) Also, I can imagine this is in a way, also what gamedevs of a sandbox game would essentially give to their players. Give all the parts they need (or let them discover the recipes, like in Valheim) and let them build things as they see fit.

    Yes, it's a gameplay mechanic all by itself! I just hadn't thought of it that way before ... 💡

    Thank you, thank you very much! I've heard about the concept of kitbashing before, only now I can understand how incredible it is! I do something similar saving parts and objects from the projects I make to use as basis to new objects in future projects. Now I got a lot of ideas to make it more efficiently and kitbash the my own assets. I'm an old viewer and I love the videos, it's really helpful for me. But this time I'm shocked with this technique of kitbashing and the way it can be easily applied in almost all my projects saving me a lot of hours. So again, thank you!

    Kitbashing with model kit parts was common in the “traditional” days. Just look at any Star Wars model from the first trilogy and you ll see car, battleship and tank parts all over.

    I'm using a hair particle system and am having lots of overlapping issues (like you mentioned). Is there a specific Geometry Nodes setup you would use to create a city?

    Blender's viewport gets unbearably slow when I add just a geometry node for generating grass. I don't know how so many people are creating such complex scenes. My computer is pretty beefy (i9 7900x, 128GB DDR4, 2TB M.2, RTX 3080). I'm not sure what the problem is.

    dont worry about the level, improve your animation and other skills as an artist for example if you dont know how to create a level you will create a bad looking level but if you dont know how to setup a rig and make animation :( sorry you cant make anything bad or good. kitbashing will change the future of gaming solo developers will overthrow big companies

    kitbashing is cheating???? that's like telling the auto and airline industry that assembly line manufacturing is cheating

  • @jasonseti2343
    @jasonseti23435 ай бұрын

    It’s cheating unless you mine iron and silicon, make a computer, program your 3d software, make your own kitbash, and then it’s not cheating!
