Freddie Mercury was a man of many talents and many different sides. The songs he wrote for and with Queen filled stadiums around the globe and have rightly gone down in history, but he also embarked on a solo career that took him from the clubs of Munich and New York to the great opera houses of the world.
He was the ultimate showman, but he kept his private life away from the prying eyes of the media; a larger than life rock star who loved disco, classical music and ballet. He was a restless spirit, a true chameleon who revelled in his own contradictions.
All the different sides of this iconic musician can be found on Freddie Mercury: Messenger Of The Gods - The Singles. All formats released September 2nd 2016.
This was Freddie Mercury's second single from the 1985 'Mr Bad Guy' album - his first solo album. The Director was David Mallet and it was shot in a warehouse in North London where a replica of the Royal Opera House was built especially for the shoot. The single was released in the UK on 1st July 1985.

The man had a vocal range that no one can even come close to matching. Thats why his singing was so unique. Truely one of a kind. A true legend.

You're right. But that's not the only reason his voice is so incredibly beautiful. In my opinion, the way he sings is unique. Every note/tone/sound is full of feeling/emotion. The championship is, for example, Hyde Park 1976 ‘ You take my breath away’ Or John's song One year of Love’ or ‘Dreamers ball’ ( Brian’s song)

Every person can choose their own favorite singer/artist/band/writer/director and so on and so on. For example i love Dio very much and his live perfomances were very good (although not always like the same Freddie) but Freddie is something else for me. There are people who don't like Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley, and that's okay too. But this does not mean that any of them were better than each other. A singer may not sing very well, but he may fall into the heart due to charisma or something else, that's the whole point

His voice gives you chills, his ability to captivate hundreds of thousands of people at a time with a note or two was awe inspiring. He was a true musical genius who was taken too soon. I love Freddie Mercury's solo music. So underrated and bloody hell, that guy could sing.
This song is so beautiful. When he sings: "I'm playing my role in history Looking to find my goal Taking in all this misery But giving it all my soul", You can just feel his emotion because it was so true. He was dying while singing this, and he did give it all to his fans till the very end. Just amazing.

@@ishan_bbx We are both kinda right. He had aids at this time while singing it, which it was slowly killing him. But his heath really to decline fast in 1990-1991. Glad to see another Queen/Freddie Mercury fan to carry on his legacy. Have a good one and happy holidays!

I've no words to describe how Freddie impresses me, (and millions of his fans). His voice, his on and off stage presence are peerless.
This music was made in heaven, a true golden experience, and these artists, their works are timeless, as what, the diamond is unbreakable. The funny thing is that some new artists think they are equal to them, as if they deserve to be in the battle tendency, but their music has as much weight as phantom blood, Queen is far above.

Скорее голос вселенной. И да, вы правы лучше не будет.Взять любую композицию Фредди - хочется слушать и слушать. А у других - послушаешь немного ,ну , можно и переключить. Фредди - уникальность , есть какая то магия в его композициях, то что мы уже никогда не узнаем... Наверное, действительно- он сделан на небесах.

Freddie’s voice was truly made in heaven, he was such a talented singer and performer. A once in a lifetime person who stands the test of time and they don’t make ‘em like him anymore. He had a way of taking sad lyrics and singing them to upbeat music that you cannot stop listening to. RIP Freddie!
