It probably is, but you know that the tv production is faking impact sounds 60-70% of the time, when there mics don't get near enough. Especially when they are filming putts 30-40y across the green, but also on full shots.

Played a round with Freddie 40 years ago at Jackson near Seattle and shot a respectable 77. Freddie had a 62 and missed a couple 10 footers. Quite the experience

Best swing in the game including the young guys….and he’s 63! Just look at these swings. So fluid, balanced, relaxed, and powerful

Was there today. The cup must have looked like it was the size of a basketball goal. He was amazing. So glad it was here in North Kackylacky that Fred will remember the round of his life....and thats saying something. Good on yea sir! Much to appreciate for a very long time.

I would love to have Fred’s swing. It’s so effortless and he hits the ball long.

1st thing he does is thank his caddie. Good drills, what a gent. What a swing. I just love the impact moment he has with a wedge. And the sound. So pure. Cheers Freddy!

I’m retired and doing a marathon of all your videos. Never gets old.

His backswing is so gentle and smooth. Something that I am really going to be focusing on in my next few outings. Great round.

Sam Snead, Seve and Freddy had the smoothest swings of my lifetime, absolutely effortless!

My all time favourite golfer. I still remember that back 9 at the 1992 Masters.

It's been a long wait for this win. Happy for Freddie. Hopefully this sparks him and he see's more wins this season and maybe even a run at the championship. Great golfer and equally good person.

Loved following him around the course during the BUICK CLASSIC every time he showed up. One of the most stand up guys on and off the tour. A true living legend.

We all love Fred, does his job with a smile and has done for decades. Thank you

You looked like you did in the late 80's, so great to see my favourite player of all time do this. Congrats Fred, I met you years ago in Santa Barbara, I was coaching a blind golfer Brian MacLeod. Keep on shooting your age until you hit 70.

Freddy is a class act on and off the course. I’ve had the pleasure the chat with him off the course and he’s as nice a guy you’d ever want to be around.

I'll say, this was a spellbinding performance by Fred. And he stands up tall and barely bends his knees when he swings, which I guess is why he makes it look so easy.

After that par save from the collar any golfer knew it was “one of those rounds” and then the lucky bounces on consecutive approach shots on the back nine, which he birdied, just the icing on the cake. There’s something unexplainable about it, the golf gods give and the golf gods take. When they give, and you’re as good as Freddie - man is it amazing to watch

Watching this feels like 1992. Freddie will always be my golfing hero and to this day, I still don't think there's ever been a prettier golf swing.

Since I started watching golf Fred has always been my favorite golfer. He played together with Davis Love those days. After all these years he is still the best golfer in my mind. I don't wear a glove too.

This guy Fred, yea, he was one of three guys that I watched a LOT when I first fell in love with this game. He is SOOOOOO SMOOTH when he is ZONING!! Im 59 and I started playing in 1985, with a layoff between 2005-2020. I admired Fred Couples, Greg Norman, and Raymond Floyd. Ive met Lee Trevino, Fuzzy Zoeller, Tom Kite, and played in a tournament on a nearby course newly designed by Davis Love III. Its Anderson Creek Golf Course near Ft Bragg NC.

How fantastic was that! So happy for Fred I met Fred Couples way back in 1992. I had just started playing but even then I could see he had the most majestic swing in golf and from then on he was my favourite player. There was no such thing as selfies back in those days but I got his autograph and I have the memory of course.
