Rarely am I moved to tears by anything on youtube. This one of those rare exceptions. How sublime; how otherworldly; how exquisitely perfect.

It's a amazing song.. it touch your heart, it touch your mind and it touch your soul. I'm singing in a choir, so I know different kinds of Ave Maria's.. but this one.. I haven't enough words.. I can hear it every day, every hour and every minute.. So that means a lot.. The choir is also amazing.. Their voices are perfect connected to each other.. Their voices are one.. and when it sounds like one voice it is perfect..

I’m in a community girls choir and my high school choir. In my community girls choir, we have this piece and hearing this is just beautiful ❤😭

This song was sang by the cathedral choir recently at my Nana's funeral. It is seriously the most beautiful song i've ever heard, i cannot listen to it without breaking down, but it does remind me of what an amazing woman she was, how strong she was, how beautiful, how much of an inspiration she is to me and how i live me life, and how much i will miss her dearly, not a day goes by without me thinking of her grace and now everything i do, I'm doing it for her to make her proud. ♥ xx

This makes me think of my Grandma, as well. She saw me perform this with my college choir in 1993,andsaid that it was the most beautiful song that she had ever heard. She was theater and speech teacher for a high school. She said, when hearing this, that she knew what the angels would sound like, when she got to heaven.

The past two years I've spent many hours searching the internet for as many Ave Maria versions as I can find, this is one of my favourites.

As I listen to this fantastic choir I am looking at the Sienese masterpiece of the "Annunciation," painted by Simone Martini in 1333. Reminds me that there is hope for all of us.

Words cannot do this music and this performance justice. This is the most moving Ave Maria I've ever heard!

Wish these ladies had a DVD of their performances. Exceptionally beautiful...

Actually they do. They are the Pro Musica Girls' Choir from Hungary. You can find their Christmas Collection containing this track on the net.

What an amazing blend! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! To those who are concerned with the pronunciation of the Latin, it has to do with accents! If you listen to the choir that sang for the movie Les Choristes, their Latin has a distinctly French tinge to it. It's still lovely; you just know where everyone's from. Such is the beauty of music! The overtones are sick. What a gorgeous rendition. Congratulations to the choir and their director.

Brought me to tears. Wow.

Me too. This is just gorgeously celestial.

I was new in my choir, and when the others started to sing it, i almost cried... its beautiful, moving, relaxing, emotional, and it sais everything it wants to... i'm so glad that now i know it too :)

This is the Angelus in song -A Catholic prayer said at 6am,12 noon and 6pm "The Angel of the Lord Declared unto Mary and she conceived of the Holy Ghost" followed by the Hail Mary then "Mary said""Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to Thy word" ..Hail Mary..then "and the Word(Jesus Christ)was made flesh and dwelt amongst us" followed by a final Hail Mary. Astoundingly beautiful made perfect because of its subject matter! Ave Maria!

Wonderful music! When you listen to music as good as this, if you ever doubted the truth, you know that God lives!

The angels have sung! Glory to Our Almighty God! Glory to the most Holy Virgin St Mary! Glory to the Holy Birth of Our Lord JESUS! THANK YOU for this Beauty of Human Voice and Musical Arrangement! God bless your Lives! Allelluia!

Well done, ladies!! This is one of my top favorite choral settings. I've sung it many, many times, and it has always choked me up on the inside. Thank you for sharing your wonderful gift with the rest of us, out here! With young women, such as you, you should be on pedestals! :-)

I, too, love that recording. However, this beautiful range of female voices is sublime.

I can only imagine that this is what the heavenly choir sounds like. A beautiful song to the Queen of Heaven. Amen

Gorgeous. And what a useful playlist - German Xmas - yup, we're doing all of these... Hope we do them justice - such a joy to sing.

This is the best rendition I have ever heard. The choir is superb, and the director brought the score into the ethereal.

i think the Latin is exceptional, no hard T sound the nice transition of the rolling of the R and phrashing of the Latin vowels, They sound as if their native language was a Latin language

Every arrangement of this is moving. It is a little faster than other versions I have heard, but that doesn't ruin it for me.

I think this is the Pro Musica Girl's Choir, from the same institution the Cantemus mixed choir comes from. I love these sopranos! We're talking sound that's crystal glass pure. I think I like the men's version, but what a great recording this is!

In all fairness, the tuning is quite good considering the size of the group and the acoustics of that building. Dealing with high ceilings, hard walls and hard floors, then having part of the group above and behind the others all make for some challenging listening for those girls. It's certainly not a wonder to me why they would need a conductor. And some of them are very cute. That's nice too. ;-)
