About a year ago we heard this at our church. Sts Anne & Joachim in Fargo,ND performed by a Dad & 2 of his daughters & a son. This is great & so was there's. I just love it!

This work is the composition of Vladimir Fyodorovich Vavilov (1925-1973), Russian composer, guitarist and lutenist. He had a great success of which he never benefited, composing these pastiches by attributing them to others and died of a cancer, in misery. What a fortune he could have done, considering the success of this work over time. A clue: there is absolutely no "Ave Maria", except this one, whose only words are the simple name of Mary. / Cette œuvre est la composition de Vladimir Fiodorovitch Vavilov (1925-1973), compositeur russe, guitariste et luthiste. Il eut un grand succès dont il ne profita jamais, composant ces pastiches en les attribuant à d'autres et mourut d'un cancer, dans la misère. Quelle fortune pourtant il aurait put faire , considérant le succès rencontré par cette œuvre à travers le temps. Un indice : il n'existe absolument aucun "Ave Maria", hormis celui-là, qui n'a pour paroles que le simple nom de Marie.

Giulia Cacchini wurde am 8. Oktober 1551 geboren und starb am 10. Dezember 1618. Sie schreiben Ihren beharrlichen Kommentar zu jedem Video von Cacchini. Ihr genannter russischer Komponist wurde ein paar hundert Jahre später geboren.

​@@brigittebrigitte1909Until 1980 this Melody was unknown, and it has nothing to do with Italian catholic choir music, it is as Russian as it goes, listen to orthodox choral music.

Ave Maria "by Vladimir Vavilov (1970) not by Caccini (1550-1618) The "Ave Maria" is by Vladimir Vavilov (1925-1973) a Russian guitarist, who had the frequent habit of attributing his own compositions to other composers, usually Renaissance or Baroque. This "Ave Maria" was composed in 1970 and published on an album titled "Music of lute of the XVI-XVII centuries" (Editorial "Melody"). He edited it without author In spite of the name of the disc, he himself composed almost all the songs recorded of the disc, attributing them to authors of the Baroque or Renaissance, except this "Ave Maria", that left it as anonymous. Then, a friend of his (Marcos Shakhin) who had participated in the recording of the album, attributed this "Ave Maria" to Caccini, following the custom of Vavilov himself. The interpretation of the soprano Irina Arkhipova in 1987, (with an arrangement of the organist Oleg Tanchgenko) made this Ave Maria achieve the fame and popularity that it now has and that Vavilov could not get to know (he died poor and of pancreatic cancer).

The beginning pair . Great voices. Be careful not to garner sound in the back of the throat. Instead, keep it in the Mask. (Hard palate) North South Sound, yet slight smile while singing to help with Mask sound! ❤️❤️
