Frank Zappa has always been an underrated guitarist, but he is among the most technical to ever exist. His solos always have a lot of melody, harmony and a large dose of brilliant improvisation. He deserved to be more recognized for his virtuosity on his instrument.

@ZLcloud22 agree. I remember when I was a kid, the girl next door was about 15-16 and working part time at a radio station, they were switching away from records and going to tapes, and she would bring home massive boxes of records all the time, and she offered them to me, which ever ones I wanted. I rummaged through and picked out a few, ( I was maybe 8-10 yeas old) and I found this one with a yellow label with the word Zappa on it, so I grabbed it coz it looked cool. Man it blew me away.

I have a hard time with this song , it used to be one of my favorite Zappa songs but now it depresses me , I saw Dweezil Zappa play this at the Zappas Universe concert days before Frank's Death & much of the audience wept ,.including Dweezil as he played , which made me weep . I saw FZ a lot & have so many fond memories of the 60''s & 70's but this song makes me realize my Times nearly up , life's short kids & 60 yrs goes by in the blink of an eye . Hello Micheal Ledford I'm 20 years old, and don't claim to understand your feelings at all. But Time is a very mysterious experience. We can't be sure that Time doesn't have something else for you after your death. Time seems to be infinite, and you are engraved in it. As Franck Zappa's music is, youre child are too. The feeling of time passing by is only a feeling. Are you sure your engraving will disapear one day? I think i'll apreciate my 60s like my 20s now. Have a nice day! Zappa Rules!

HAS to be one of the best live video performances of Frank’s playing, where we actually get to see him really get into the solo, and the cameraman actually panned out instead of just focusing on the finger work. FZ covered all musical genres, all quirky peoples traits, and all the fuckwit mentality in politics. That was his legacy to us all. And a sweet addition to his live numbers . . . he never played the same lead riffs twice. He WAS meticulous with his band, they had to perform to a very high standard, then he could do the goofy noodling lead stuff I love so much. Thanks FZ! x

Frank Zappa has always been an underrated guitarist, but he is among the most technical to ever exist. His solos always have a lot of melody, harmony and a large dose of brilliant improvisation. He deserved to be more recognized for his virtuosity on his instrument.

Frank Zappa is synonymous with musical genius. His music has brought me joy for many decades. He is a master creator and sends us on a musical journey to far off places. Once you go Zappa, you never go back!!!
I've seen a ton of bands in my life starting with Alice Cooper in West Germany in 1972 when I was in grade 8. My biggest regret over the years (well one of my biggest regrets)was never getting to see Frank play. (the other is never having seen the Stones) As the years continue to go by that feeling of regret just seems to grow bigger and bigger. Thankfully Frank left a huge amount of work behind for us to bathe our ears in for years to come. Thanks Frank.

Terrific artist, so expressive!!
Such a joy to still see my old hero doing his stuff. I loved Frank. Sooo much musical trivia bombarding our ears nowadays. Thanks FZ! x
A unique guitar player and a big loss at a young age.
I listen to this almost every day! Massive sound brilliant ideas , what an unique style, impossible to emulate! Nobody come close!

a friend gave me his Overnite Sensation Album around 1975 which remains my favourite FZ album and since then he became my favourite Musician. i own around 80 of his 120 or so studio albums and my ambition is to one day own all! my last 3 german shepherds have been called Zappa, Muffin and Diva who is with me now. people often misuse the word genius but in Frank's case it is wholly appropriate.
Zappa rules. Great song. Great solo. Great concert.
Frank Zappa was and is all the difference between virtuoso heroes of the tasteless guitar and a composer who sculpted air molecules as he pleased by improvising freely with his guitar.
Genius FZ my all time favourite one of best ever guitar master
As a 16 year old and only my 2nd concert ever, I got to witness Frank and his Band play 10 miles from my house @ Dillon Gym on the Campus of Princeton Univ. in Princeton NJ on 4/27/73. At my show, this was the song Frank and the Boys closed the show with. It was the end of an AMAZINGLY GREAT set!! Another FANTASTIC Saturday Night in the GREAT OLE DAYS in Central NJ!
And to think Frank was a drummer, who picked up the guitar and taught himself at age 18 or so. A self taught musical genius. Composer, conductor, and instrumentalist. Zappa kicks ass on this solo here. Who else can compare?
Pure beautiful jazz uniquely played by a genious.
Truly a master of feel. Anyone could play this song, but only Frank could play it like this.
cosmic debris, inca roads, Montana, been to Kansas city, stink foot, yellow snow, dogs breath, black napkins, zoot alures. so many masterpieces
