France - Picture of Diana after accident

(19 Sep 1997) T/I: 10:44:32
The body of Henri Paul, the driver of the car in which Diana, Princess of Wales died, left Paris on Friday morning (19/09) and was taken to Lorient for burial.
Meanwhile, a picture claiming to show Diana, Princess of Wales, trapped in the wreckage of the car in which she was fatally injured in a Paris underpass was placed on the Internet on Thursday (18/09).
Police later ruled that the image was fake and that the position of the body in no way resembled that of Diana when rescue workers arrived at the crash scene.

    I had just lost my dear husband 4 months earlier. I had decided to move and was up late, packing when they, announced on t.v. that she had just died. It hit me really hard because I was already in the middle of heavy grief. I just sat down and cried for her. I was crazy about her and watched every second of her wedding too. I also watched the tapes of her and Dodi Fayed in the hotel, waiting to get in their car, unknowingly headed to their deaths. You could just see by their body language that they were so in love and they made a beautiful couple. It still makes me so sad that they didn't have a chance to live their lives together.

    @@lindahandley5267 Diana was very passionate....she was actually trying to get back to England while this man was trying to keep her stay on for a few more days. She missed love...he took the best advantage, though he was making use of her sheer availability and vulnerability. That night....she was so much caught up and passionate thinking of the night....but her heart was in England and was about her boys.

    @@KristinaUSA-x5n All due respect but in my opinion no "one-person" or "group of persons", nor even just one "single event" can, in all honesty be blamed for this cataclysmic heart-wrenching tragedy! The whole Princess/Lady Diana Windsor/Spencer "story" is extremely complex. I recently witnessed Piers Morgan pointing the finger at Bashir and the BBC for supposedly deceiving Diana into "spilling the beans" and setting a whole string of events into motion that culminated in Diana loosing the Royal Protection that might have prevented Diana's tragic death. Even that theory is deeply flawed ... And so it goes on, many more have been and will be posited ... as I said 'extremely complex' - but nevertheless unarguably heart-breaking for the 100's of millions who loved her so dearly, me included!!

    Wow lady. Her death was tragic. There was nothing tragic about her life. "Keeping up appearances" was her job & her life. She was extraordinary at it & probably hard to swallow that she was chosen not for love but for Prince Charles to insert some badly needed DNA diversity into the royal family & to find one who was like no other in their family who screamed DNA diversity. She never stood a chance to live a normal life but it was far from tragic. What was tragic was her need to maintain a lifestyle she had grown accustomed & found most comfortable. Unfortunately she chose the Jackie-O approach & was hanging around a mega wealthy foreigner who could afford her lifestyle. It led to financial stability for Jackie O when her Greek billionaire husband died & i am sure Diana was looking into that because face it she was a drop dead gorgeous Princess one only sees on Disney ---because you are one of the few chosen by the longest running monarchy still around on our planet whose family is still alive & looking rather normal despite more inbreeding going on than a backwards Appalachian Hillbilly whose family tree only has 2 different surnames going back some 300 years. Meanwhile Charles who loved a normal person wasn't raised all protected & shunned from harm as Diana was. Diana was privileged insecure & about to marry into a fantasy life far from what anybody prepared her for. She really was little dumb diana when she entered into the family. The shock was traumatic. Her inability to be free as well as trauma caused her anxiety. The stereotype that anxiety translates to mental illness & mental illness means family history & led to depression and totally untreated led to dangerous behavior. Meanwhile poor American slut Cammie is banging the prince because both have awesome sex. I bet Diana never did e v e r. Bummer. No sex came with the job of baby maker after having 2 sons.

    According to a Trauma surgeon who was asked to review the injuries - she had bad facial injuries, and an almost total below-knee amputation of one leg (don’t know which one) - the cause of death was massive blood loss due to a torn pulmonary artery. He postulated that she might have survived if she had been quickly taken to hospital and put onto cardiac bypass - instead of the waste of time spent trying (futile) to ‘resuscitate’ her at the scene!

We know she didn’t survive. The only people who could have had a picture after the accident were Paparazzi, some helping, and a few onlookers. You knew this was the photo but you still watched. And you want to gripe about it? AP Archive is a news agency. They are going to run this every year near her death date. So next year, don’t watch! ❤️

    I was leaving a nightclub driving home in the early morning hours when I heard this. I remember saying, If Dodi has died, she will be dead too. A few seconds later the announce the worst. I sat at home for a week and cried inconsolably. I didn’t change the channel, didn’t eat; was incapable of doing anything. As a little girl I had snuck up to the front row to try and meet her. My own mum had died a year ago and my life was extremely abusive. I was going to ask her if she could be my mum. Strangely, she didn’t stop me from approaching and neither did her guards. She actually took time to speak to me without me getting pounced on by security. She was a beautiful, kind and gracious princess. And when she died, it hurt as much as when my own mum did. All I had done my whole life was look for a mum to make up for the 2 I had already lost. Wherever she is now, I hope she is with Dodi and she is loved and happy; that she found the peace she could never find here.

  • @ladymanners618

    @ladymanners618

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@nancyneville8700 That is SO unfair to emergency workers. Princess Diana died in the hospital on the operating table, not in a car park. She was not wearing a seat belt and rapid deceleration and being thrown around in a car caused her injuries. Her pulmonary artery was torn from her heart and she had bled into her chest cavity. The bleeding was not visible externally and had been reduced because of the pressure of the build up of the blood in her chest, there was nowhere else for it to go. When the doctors opened her chest to be able to see what to fix the pressure around the arterial tear dropped, the blood haemorrhaged, and she bled out. They tried to resuscitate and pumped tens of units of blood into her for hours. That picture wasn't Diana. The firemen, ambos and emergency doctors were all shocked that she died because apart from a black eye she was unmarked and they all thought she'd probably be ok. Diana spoke to the doctors treating her in the car and she was on the floor in the back not on the seat cut and bashed up. The only person wearing a seatbelt in that car is the only person who lived, Diana's security officer. That was despite also sitting in "the death seat" = front seat passenger, but his seatbelt saved him. The full report used to be available online

    @@sharonrynne2242 The black and white real photos can be found on the internet. They are clear but mostly profile shots only. Onlookers described a cut on her forehead but other than that, she looked fine... so much so that everyone who saw her (EMT, hospital staff, etc) were almost certain that she’d survive with only broken arm/leg. It was nothing like the fake photos show. Unfortunately, the devastating injury was on the inside and nobody knew until they lifted her into the ambulance. I just wish she had returned home to England earlier (as she had planned). Or stayed put in that beautiful hotel for the night. Or that she had simply put on her seatbelt.

    For all those complaining about the people who have showed their dislike for this being taken or shared. Just as you have an opinion, so do others. People are allowed to have an opinion. Whether they think it is disrespectful or disgusting to stand and click pics of someone severely injured, in pain and breathing their last breath, it is their right to say what they think. She was photographed all her life. But out of respect and humanity's sake one would have thought that the paparazzi would leave her alone in this condition. But they only thought of how much money they could make from this shot. Its disgusting when people stand by and watch a person after an accident. Instead of helping the injured they make videos to upload to KZread instead. Just as they can do that, others also have the right to call it out. I clicked here too. Not to see the picture but to raise a voice because its relevant to this. I wouldn't go onto a Gordon Ramsey cooking video to do it now, would I?! Not everyone will share the same opinion as you but they have the right to air it.

    I miss Princess Diana. She died 1 1/2 years before I was born April 1999. I always admired her style and charity work and breaking down barriers and royal rules as Britain's modern princess of the 20th Century. Almost 24 years later,the world deserves to see the picture of her body so it's no longer a mystery to our younger generation who never knew her and the older generation who did. Most likely the only way we will ever get an idea of the night she died and the aftermath is when they make a new season of The Crown for Netflix later this year. I have a TY bear that is dark purple with a white rose that was a memorial bear they sold and gave the proceeds to her memorial foundation. It sits on my shelf in my room with my other bears I have.
