Respectfully requesting some additional love to the small (but loyal) FM9 community 🤓 There are a couple of presets (videos) I’ve seen you do that I love. One is the Rockerverb / Helix that I’d love to buy (but) on the FM9. The heavy stuff / metal stuff would be killer - But anything’ll do!! You’ve got a gift - I dig it!!

This is cool. You could also use layout links so that after you select a preset it automatically takes you to the scenes layout. One less press.

Good video! Can you make this kind of video for the helix patch?! I enjoy your helix patch, but I'm only helix native user(No helix hardware), so I can't figure out how parameters are mapped to each footswitch and how much they change value. I can only play with snapshot mode. I really want know how parameters changing!

Any reasons to go with the wet effects after the amps on the Axe FX? If I recall correctly, you did a hybrid approach on the Helix (one verb before, and one verb after the amps). And I suppose live you have all your wets generally before the amps.

Great stuff Dave! This is my first IR purchase for my new FM9. In fact, this is my first attempt at importing anything. I can't seem to get the FM9 to allow the file to transfer? Any thoughts?

Three years ago you did a rig video where you showed all the board that you use and it’s massive. What about now? What is your rig look like now ? Are you only using fractal?

So how would I go about doing this but with the FM3 and a midi controller (not fc6)???

Heads up to anyone who has recently purchased an FM9 and loaded these presets on. For some reason, the “high mid” param under the drives -> tone menu gets set to zero because of a recent update. I was wondering why these presets sounded wooly and dark. This is why!

@@JeremyZ1024 unfortunately no. I started at 5 (the default) adjusted to taste from there. I believe though, David should be coming out with an update soon?

I’m hoping so! I redownloaded the old firmware that I noticed him using in this video and the “high mid” parameter isn’t even there, so it must be something they added in the newer firmware. It also helped with the custom layout to work correctly going back to the old firmware

Does the Fractal FM9 replace all the board? Do you only need the FM9 now and no longer need any other pedals? I’m asking because I’m just now getting into purchasing things to take over the lead guitarist position

What strings do you use? The electric link doesn’t work anymore.

Just got my FM9 today and downloaded your presets, for some reason the custom layout file is not working correctly. When I go to DH effects it doesn’t really give me the option to turn certain effects off or on and also doesn’t let me cut the drives off to go to a clean setting, any suggestions??

SOLD! Just downloaded to my FM9 but I'm not getting any Input to any of the PRESETS. It's lighting up on the Pedal but not on the "Input 1" Block. Help!

All my songs are "Presets" in each preset I have different scenes for the song. I want to set it up where I click on the preset and all my scenes for that preset pop up. Then, I want to be able to see the other "Presets/songs" in different banks. How do I set it up to page over so that I can see all the presets in the order that they go into? For example, I have machinehead as preset 385. I want to press it and see the scenes. Then, I want to go to the next preset with my foot which is "Song 2". How do I get the fractal to do this?

What happens when you faslink to a fc6 or fc12

Did the fractal FM9 replace your other board of multiple pedals? Do you use mainly the FM9 fractal pedal? Do you still use all those other pedals you use to have that you show three years ago on your rig setup video? Did the fractal pedal systems replace your other pedals?

He still mainly uses analog pedals, as the tone you can get is notches above what you can get really on any digital unit. Especially when you got tone like David hislop. fractal hasn't replaced him using his board, he still uses his board for everything he records, that I know of

Proac studio 100’s and NS10’s. HS5’s are great for budget monitors. Grab a 10” Polk sub while you are at it.

No clue what you explained it's way too complicated I am trying to basically get the scenes and presets I like close to each other so I can switch from one to another simply while playing live
