Fr. Robert Spitzer, S.J. - "Science, the Creation of the Universe and Beyond"
Join theologian Fr. Robert J. Spitzer, SJ, PhD, for a lecture and discussion on the relationships between faith, science, God's creation, and the origins of the universe. In today's world, faith is often presented as contradictory to science. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, as Fr. Spitzer has demonstrated throughout his career, faith and science complement one another to reveal the world's eternal truths. When it comes to understanding the origin of the universe, the union of faith and science is especially important.
Fr. Spitzer is the president of both the Magis Center of Reason and Faith and the Spitzer Center. He appears weekly on the EWTN show "Father Spitzer's Universe," where he answers viewers' questions about God, science, virtue, and other existential concerns.

Great Exposition.... thank you. Analogies/probabilities very important for the lay person. Exciting.Book by Stephen Meyer "Signature in the Gene "expounds a aource of iintelligence must exist for the specific Functional information that is encolded in even the shortest gene for the most primitive life form. The origin of life is neither possible by chance/random chance/ accideent given the probalities nor by the physical enviromnments of early life nor by any chemical law of attraction. HE does stict laws of logic and argumentation.{Mrs B)

This is what Fr Spitzer raised, but the new evidence when taken into account STILLL shows there was a beginning to the universe.

It´s the James Webb Space Telescope. And it didn´t debunked the Big Bang. It showed - given the first interpretation of the raw data is correct - that astronomers do not unterstand the formation of early galaxies as well as they thought.
There is no fine tuning! .

"This is a divine and biological law." Everyone who has "seed" on this earth lives on earth. In order to live after death, it is necessary to be a "seed" from heaven Because life, whether in heaven or on earth, begins with "birth." Life is a matter of "seed". Man, animal and plant You must be born again (John 3:3). To know Jesus is eternal life (John 17:3).

Two wrongs doesn't make a right. You are one, Fr. Spitzer the other. But you are young so my bet is on you to get it right one day.
I’ve been watching for 25 minutes, and there’s no references at all to Biblical scripture. How can he be Catholic, how can he be a Christian and go against Jesus’ his own belief of the world being created in six days? Only one universe was created on one of those days, remember?

I agree. Genesis clearly states that the Earth was created before our sun. As well, it has ages that conflict with science when considering how old our planet is. The Christian Bible does not mention dinosaurs at all. So, either he believes in science which has proven the Bible to b a work of fiction written by men who were living in ignorant times OR he believes it to b the word of God, which cannot b wrong or inaccurate, & therefore science is incorrect, wrong. It cannot b both.

It is much easier to believe in God than to try and understand A physicist and what is being spoken of. I know God exists as I have experienced miracles after praying.

Is this 'psychobabble' really coming from an educated theologian upholding the true faith? Very disappointing, Fr. Spitzer. One trillion Boltzmann brains could't have come up with a weirder analysis. Back to the drawing board: Chapter 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth...
