Just took the biggest crash I've had in 13 years of mtn biking. My head took most of the impact. I would be in the hospital or dead if I wasn't wearing a helmet. But I had a Speedframe Pro helmet on that I have worn for at least a year. After the crash I had 0 symptoms of concussion. Never lost consciousness. Just a tiny bruise on my forehead where the initial impact happened. I thought $190 was probably overpaying for a helmet when I first bought it, but I liked the look and comfort of the Speedframe so I justified the price. Now I'm sold on the protection being second to none and $190 for a helmet that can do what it did on a crash as big as mine now seems cheap compared to the cost of what less protection would have led to. I'm getting the same helmet in the new colorway, and I'm stoked to get back on my bike.... as soon as my hip and shoulder heal up enough.

Thanks for sharing and very glad to hear the helmet did it’s job! We’re big proponents of ensuring people get good helmets and most importantly wear them! Hope you heal up soon and the next Speedframe never gets called to action.

I'm due for a new helmet to replace Bell Sixer. It's a great helmet but sweat runs into my eyes. Wondering if this will have the same issue.

You never put it on to demonstrate coverage?

How does this compare to the speed frame mips helmet? I tried the speed frame mips helmet at the shop and it felt great. Does this fit the same? What’s better about this? Thanks.

I have this helmet in 2 sizes. M and L. My head size is 59 and fit comfortly in L size. So i think you should go for L

Thank you for reviewing this new helmet from Fox! Do you have experience with Fox Flux mips? How would you compare the fit? I have more rounder shape head and Flux was a great, comportable fit for me.

Hey Jeff, Thanks for watching and writing in. We have worn a Flux but honestly it was so many helmets ago we can't totally stand behind our recollection... I'd suggest trying one on if you can, or buying from a shop with a return policy. Since it's a Fox, we'd feel pretty safe saying that the shape/fit will be pretty similar and should still work for you. This is a very comfortable helmet.

@@TheLoamWolf Thank you~~° If possible I would like to see more helmet reviews with sizing difference as there are so many helmet sizes or head shapes.

My head is 57.5-58 cm, I just ordered the L size to have some extra space. Incase of winters etc. I hope I did not do a mistake with ordering the L size? 57.5, i was afraid of getting there M that goes as far as 59. I rather have that extra space. Did I choose correctly?

Not to our knowledge. You could likely take it off, but getting it back on could pose a problem.

@@momimu90 Yeah seems it's available in the EU now, just got the black in large (60cm head spot on for reference). I couldn't stand another bad off in sub par head protection anymore, the last one split my lids side completely and I should really have had a FF on for the line to be honest. Had a ringing in my ears for like 3 mins and forgot what day it was haha. Hope this helps for those local jumps I'm too lazy/hot to wear a FF to ride to. Tiny bit on the steep side price wise but what's the cost of protection of the thing that keeps you alive and kicking.
