My 4 year old Proframe the mips liner is broken and cracked. Hardly used it. I’m a large in it. Tried on a mates Proframe RS in large and I do have to have the boa pretty tight but I also have to have it pretty tight on my speedframe pro. I think sizing is very similar. So I ordered the large Proframe RS as I don’t want to have any hotspots with a medium. Hope it’s good. Also with the large he had the thick cheek pads in and I’d say I have slender cheeks and they felt nice and firm.

I have been running the original ProFrame for a while now and it has been excellent. Only complaint is that the velcro started to tear away from the fabric on the padding, but for as long as I have had the helmet I am not totally surprised. Might pick up a RS next time.

For me the best is the IXS ff mips helmet. So comfortable and still the lightest ff helmet in the market.

Would love to get the same tech on half frame. (as far as I know, there isn't one yet?)

I have had mine for a few months now and have 20+ rides with it, two issues: 1 - The BOA cords rest right on top of my ear and cause some discomfort, tried moving the fit up and down but to get it off my ears it is no longer comfortable. My son has the same helmet but, in a size, smaller and I don't fit in it. 2- As mentioned it does make a creaking sound same as my Bell helmet did with the similar Mips tech. After a while you get used to it but when I switch to my TLD Stage I remember how quite a helmet should be.

I wish I saw this video before buying the non RS version when I got it the difference in price wasn't that much but tbh I didn't do my homework I didn't think they were much different. The regular version mips didn't fit that well and never stopped creaking it came and go for about a month before I ordered a Trigger FF (non mips alleluia) anyway apparently from talking with users the RS version creaks way less. 😮

Tried a M and a L in my local bike shop today and what i found was although i am a large by size , this seemed to feel too loose but the medium was far too tight on the cheek bones

It definitely runs large. I have a 59-60cm head so fit on the lower end of the large. The large I bought was way too big and I had to send it back. The medium is perfect for me. Sick helmet, otherwise

I have this and had the old model, you’ll need to size down. I was large and I’m medium in the new one.

I returned my Proframe as it was way too squeaky. Couldn’t stand the noise.

Interesting. How long did you try riding in it before you returned it? Did you get very sweaty or much dust in the helmet to “break it in” ?

Mine arrived last week. The fit and weight great. The sizing definitely runs big. I'm normally a med/large. I opted for the medium (thankfully) and have to use every bit of the boa to get it snug enough. My only grip so far is the screw that locks down for the visor adjustment rattles like crazy and I've even tried tightening it with a screw driver with a decent amount of force and it won't stop.

@@TheLoamWolf please don’t get me wrong as I love Fox stuff typically but I wore it for two rides each ride about 2 hours long and couldn’t take how much noise was coming from inside the helmet so I returned it. I’ve read where people insert tape or some barrier in between the mips rotating shell and the non rotating shell but I was not interested in taping up my new helmet. I tried several other helmets that you guys recommended and went with the IXS Trigger FF and love it. It is so light and silent. The 7iDP project 23 carbon was sweet but very heavy, I couldn’t hear external sounds as well compared to the IXS. I get that the IXS is not as “protective” possibly as some of the others in your testing but all the FF helmets offer much better safety protection than the standard skull cap type helmets out there anyway.

@@Grifterbiden don't doubt it. When I have some spare time I think I'll back it all the way out and drop a small rubber o-ring in there and see if that helps as a dampener.

Helmets are one of those things I’m not willing to cheap out on. It’s kind of protecting the most important part of my body. Just bought an RS but yet to ride in it. Having an odd shaped head the original Proframe just didn’t feel good. Hopefully they give the Dropframe the same treatment as the adjustable sizing makes for a better feel for those of us with bigger domes.

Met Parachute with MIPS is more like $375 USD.
