This month, Mike K6YMM gives the Sierra Foothills ARC a more detailed look at the techniques used to plot "lines of position" on a map, as an aid to finding the "Fox" (a hidden radio transmitter).
"Fox Hunts" are an exercise where Ham Radio operators work collectively or individually to locate these transmitters, as practice for when they need to find any number of radio sources, including lost hikers, radio jammers, and various forms of radio interference.
No furry foxes were harmed (or even involved) in the making of this video, nor the exercises the club performs.
