LOL, that's true.
I just repaired a cv axle boot with zip ties , the ball joint broke on my wife's car and snatched the axle shaft out of the housing so I had to cut the clamp and replaced with good ol zip ties 😂

The bellows came with zip ties, lol. It's definitely easier than dealing with a metal pinch style clamp. After hearing about your repair, I'm even more confident they'll do fine.

@@89G oh yeah most definitely because the axle spins and tugs on the boot pretty good. I caught hell putting the boot back on with greasy hands and the wheel turned and I was in the store parking lot where the ball joint broke and with limited tools (caveman style) but got her back together and doing great but yeah that rack boot is good to go the way you did it 👍
Great job 89! I threw a couple of these things in when I put the SN95 rack in my fox because I know the rims I picked will rub. The "rebuilt" rack had some already installed too.

@@89G rock auto. I picked Cobra from their parts selector but from what I understand there's little chance you won't get a re-built GT (or v6 in some cases) rack from them, no matter what you choose.

Excellent video! I think that most aftermarket wheels rub on foxes 😢… Im guessing the spacers you installed work by limiting the amount of travel to either side of the rack 🤔. Anyway that’s a cool solution

Correct! I'm going to go give it a drive when I get back home. The rain finally stopped, lol. It's an awful noise when wheels rub!
I think the limiter’s were in later Gt’s to help clear Ponies. Going through rack issues with mine now. Great video! 👊😎✌️

@@89G The second used rack is leaking too. A buddy put new seals in it. It had only 27,000 miles on it. Coming out the driver side. I have one coming from LMR. Still would like to get the original rack built somehow someway. The first rack I had in started leaking. I did discover it was a rebuilt slow ratio rack, wrong for the car. I did video!
