Four lane HO slot car track layout wiring AFX TYCO DASH TFX
Day one of wiring.
Much easier to run your wires for the layout BEFORE you install whatever you use for the tabletop. this is part one of several short videos that talk and show some of the basic step.

Thanks for stopping bye, the comment/compliment. I have fallen behind with this table/layout due to a full tight knee replacement (too many skateboarding, snowboarding and motocross accidents) but I'm on the mend and will get back to this layout A.S.A P. 👍🏻😎🏁

@@slotslidershoslotcars hope you are on the mend soon. 😉👍
Thank you for your channel and hope you finish your layout with additional videos showing the complete wiring. I am working on my two lane project and would love to see an informative wiring video.
Thanks for sharing, I also will be following this project, thanks
Cant wait to see it up and running,

Thank you & thank you ! 🏁👍🏻
Great size table for a nice four lane HO layout ! Nice work on the framework too.
Plastic 6" leaf gutter guard works and looks great for side rails 👍🏁
Looks good! I did very similar wiring on my track. Looking forward to see the progress.

Did you make any more videos on this build? I like the way you started to setup the wiring and was hoping to see how you built out the drivers stations. Just starting in a table build for the first time… its always tough to get started, but I also get I just need to start :)

Great message. I am working on a two-lane track with a similar power source and will need to have additional power taps on the AFX track. Really hope you could add to this with both driver station and soldering the wires to the track information. Thanks.
So you and I are basically in the same stage of wiring now - although I need to climb under my track table to do what you're doing. I didn't even THINK to get 4PosT blocks, and only bought 4 of the 8PosT blocks. I think where I get lost (over and over) is wiring controller stations AND track power AND multiple taps (plus my gross misunderstanding of things "slot car electrical"- like positive and negative etc) at the same time. I dunno- either way I'll be watching this CAREFULLY! (EDIT- And why have / need those connect bars? {I think that's what they call them} )

So far I'm doing good with the wiring. You will find some decent diagrams of hooking up your controllers. Are you wiring for braking?

They are what links the initial input with the rest of the terminals.(positive for instance)
After you put driver stations in add terminal blocks to middle of track in 2 or 3 places down middle of track to run track power from driver stations to add power taps later … I did that on my track so I can add power taps in mins if needed (I have 13-14 power taps 😂)

Thanks for the tip. I added two terminal blocks for power taps and could add more. 14 taps?..wow, that must be a pretty big layout.

What size amp fuse do you have on your driver stations? I have Four, 3.5 amp blade style ready to install.
Honeydew list 10 ft long and 2 feet wide??? Did she order a slot car drag strip?? HAHAHHAH!!!

Looks Killer. Will you just use the one power supply for all lanes or are you planning to have separate power supplies for each lanes?

One power supply for all four lanes. Kungber DC Power Supply Variable, 30V 10A
Very good job and nice lay out sir. May l ask how strong is your power supply and where did you purchase it at also will it be contested to the track along the length of the track to supply power to track or at plug in point only for power like your wart plugs thank you
