53 here I spent most of my career working night shift. The work we did prevented bad things from happening during the day. Socially and recreationally, myself and countless others have enjoyed plenty of uneventful activities. If you pay attention to any news report, it’s often that something bad has happened “in broad daylight” Bad things can happen anywhere to anyone at any time. That “nothing good happens after midnight” is an ignorant statement that benefits no one during this crisis.

We had a case in Kentucky where the man got out of prison and he was live streaming going to his ex's apartment. He was planning on killing her and his kids. Her new boyfriend was there and he helped them escape the apartment. He was left in the apartment shooting at the cops and he set fire to the place and it spread to the other apartments and five families were homeless. Then people were on social media claiming it was all her fault and that he was a great loving father.

Let's just blame it on "mental health" and move on like nothing happened.

My deepest condolences go out to the families who lost loved ones this morning. It's so sad when people can't control their emotions, thinking murder/suicide is an answer to anything. So sad to think of the lives lost for no good reason. Heartbreaking, in fact. May the deceased all RIP.

A big thank you to this station for NOT including the death of the p.o.s. in with the victims. Other news stations ALWAYS do this as if we're supposed to mourn the killer too.... My deepest condolences to the families and friends...something is 'broken' in the 'murican psyche.

Florence Ky is right across from Cincinnati Oh. Its located in the noethern part of Kentucky. Louisville KY native here.

We are warned that the US is a dangerous country for visitors. I've been there, but will never go again. So much of the country is run down and the homelessness problem is simply attrocious. I was mugged twice, but that seems to be a rite of passage there. We left from JFK airport. It resembled a vast grey warehouse, in desperate need of tlc. It's sad to see a once great country brought to it's knees.

But there is an improvement need for distinguishing different types of shootings and motives behind them. This umbrella definition does more harm than good. It's often political and used in reference for "gun control". It also takes the focus on true "common sense" methods of preventing such occurrences. This is what's sited when they say things like "There have been 636 (I use that number for illustration only) mass shootings already this year." When in reality the number is less than 10. They lump them all together. It's political manipulation.

I saw pictures of Chase Garvey on the internet. He was raised apparently on guns. He looks like the type of person where the parents considered that he could do nothing wrong. A person who would consider himself to be a "Donny Bonaduce" type of person. In Germany one can have a gun, however the German government takes it very serious of anyone getting a gun. One's background is fully checked out, before purchase and that takes a month or two. Then the person has to go through classes before obtaining the fire arm. The weapon can not be left in the open but has to be kept in a safe. Once every year, there is a knock on the door by a policeman who checks to see that the gun is secure in the safe. Should that not be the case, the weapon is confiscated and it's a hassle to get it back. I could get one but I don't want one. It's dangerous to have a gun in the house. "How did my kid get my gun." "The man who came through the window is my husband, but I thought he was a burglar." "Me and my wife were arguing and the next thing I know she's lying on the ground." "I had no idea it was loaded." "Things aren't going well, and look like there's no hope. Where's my gun."
