not only that, would use ASA for the rims, it's like ABS, but won't fume that much. Enclosure for the printer needed. Got the Ender 3 Pro too and just use the original fireproof enclosure, so you can put it away in a small box if not needed. But nice to see TPU printing on that one, most people say you would need a direct extruder, but hey, it get's the job done without one :)

My friend made custom tires for his track car, he 3D printed segmented tire molds, that are fit on the existing rims and injected them with silicone caulk. It gives a lot of grip on smooth concrete, but tires are very soft and rip quickly, they may last longer if the caulk will be mixed with some sort of fibers.

@@peterzingler6221 In that scale steel can be difficult to manage and find for exact needs. Maybe the solution can be a middle way from 3d printed wheel inside skeleton (with right material in elasticity and stiffness) and a molding techniques. If well engineered that wheel, maybe, would be covered more times when worn out. A gyroid (CURA infill style) elastic filament structure can solve many many problems in final weight, functional stiffness, and rubber covering, in mold.

I don't know if the 4 strokes will ever make the power of nitro engines, or if nitro can out perform brushless, but 1 thing is for sure. You have created one that the sound blows them all out of the water. That thing sounds awesome!! The design layout blows me away too. You can obviously make anything it's proven, but the design is so neat and well planned out it blows me away. So well organized. If the tires keep causing an issue, you could always CNC a set of aluminum beadlocks to fit a production tire. I have proline street tires that are sticky enough to break every axle I've ever tried to run lol.
Your suspension is very inclined in the rear and reacts very slowly. Try to mount it more straight up and down to see the difference. Great job, you are an artist!

That Four sounds like a multicylinder engine! Great sound, great work!
Man you went all out with this one. Un freakin believable. It sounds and looks incredible. What a piece of art. Months of work.
Something I think that might work for the tires, is reduce the rim size (if clearances of anything permits), then make a tire with a taller wall and a comb-like structure on the interior to give them some some squish so the wheel can bite down better. Another idea, you could also try deeper treads, more blocky treads
@suzysuzuki8865
Жыл бұрын
Tires get better traction with no groves or tread. The tread is there since driving conditions aren’t always perfect. Like for example, while you grip better with no tread while it’s dry out, should you hit a puddle without the tread your risk of hydroplaning is very very high. Or off-road vehicles with the super aggressive tread for mud and what not
I feel that an MR2 body would have also been super fitting given the mid engine and front radiators, but the vette body looks rad!

Lol.......I actually found that out the hard way on my first hot rod build. I accidentally put the rear calipers on backwards so the bleeder screws were on the bottom instead of the top where the air could be bled out. It took a very frustrating few days to see it. Looks like Johnny got them air free too me. Why should it make any difference where the bleeder is located? Not trying to be a smart ass,just asking.
@agtronic
Жыл бұрын
@@kyzor-sosay6087 Because air always always pools at the top. So no matter how many attempts you make to bleed the brakes, there will always be a pocket of air trapped in the top of the caliper. Air is bad because it can be compressed, so instead of the hydraulic pressure pushing on the brake pads, it compresses the air. But to be fair, many motorcycles have the rear caliper with the bleeder on the bottom, but you have to remove the caliper and put it upside down to bleed it correctly (with a spacer between the pads obviously.) But in reality, I don't think a bit of air in the system on an RC car would be that much of an issue. If anything, it probably adds some buffering in the control which could be helpful.
@agtronic
Жыл бұрын
Another thing, you could bleed them backwards, where you push fluid into the bleeder and let the air out at the master... If design allows.
@MrKingdavis13
Жыл бұрын
@@kyzor-sosay6087 Because air is lighter than oil so when you are trying to get all of the air out of the system the bleeder has to be at the highest point on the caliper. This is where all the little bubbles will collect and have a place to exit. Having the bleeder at the bottom makes it impossible to get all of the air out and the laws of physics don't change just because someone thinks they know better. Hope this helps.
I’m halfway through the video and you’re bleeding the brakes right now. I hope you noticed that the calipers are either upside down, or you’re going to have to swap the fluid inlet and the bleeder valve locations on all of the calipers. Yeah. It's a common installation issue on full size cars when the calipers are replaced. People get the sides mixed up and the bleeders end up on the bottom. Air bubbles rise so the bleeder always needs to be on top. It's possible the hydraulic pressure is much lower here so maybe it isn't as important, but I'd still want to get the air out.
