This summer we did a fast ride in Speedracerz Fountain 47 with triple Mercury 1350hp. This video shows just how fast it can go with 4050 horsepowers and was shot during Njord Gofast in Stockholm, Sweden.

rides like a fountain!!! excellent video
The water was pretty smooth except for boat wakes. Just the way I like it! Kudos to everyone on board for wearing safety gear.
It will be nice to feature the boat sometimes and other boats. Like from launch ramp to captains meetings. Some poker run stops will be nice to see and boat power.
That's got to be a 170-180 mph boat!!!

Jag har varit med när vi åkt 129 mph om jag inte minns fel. I bra/lugn sjö kan kan det bli snabbare än så.

Hey Daniel what happened @1:05 when you ran up against that 5' wake on the starboard side of that big cruiser?? All of a sudden the video cut out. Did yall take too much sea water over your bow? BTW that was a great move b/c there were two boats tight on the port side. Plus you hit that wake head on so you wouldn't risk a barrel roll off the side of it. Very impressed with your driving!

Thanks, it is just the editing, later on there is footage of the wave. No sea water came in. :) I think there is footage of that in another video. And full disclosure, I'm not the "captain" or owner of the boat. It is under a company we run together. I'll tell the one driving this section what you said. He'll be very happy I'm sure. :)
I ducked out of the way @2:15 and I was in my mancave lol. That was close, almost TOO close!! What was your top speed?

I just gave you thumbs up, subscribed and hit the black bell. And BTW I really didn't see a lot of traffic on your way, but of course a sanctioned race course would have been a lot safer than having to dodge pleasureboat traffic.

@@DanielBramme1 Your Captain did quite well considering the boat wakes he had put up with. 47 feet is a long span that helps the boat minimize trips and bow stuffs, always a danger running fast in those wakes.
They couldn't stand the strain and the pain. LOL
There are several moments in this video that seem extremely unsafe, considering the speed and proximity to other boaters.

I agree the driver seemed a bit reckless!!!
By the way, Daniel...that 47' boat you have is not 47 feet long. It's more like 43-44 feet long. Reggie Fountain used to say that a shorter, lighter boat could beat bigger, heavier boats. He wouldn't say that around race officials though.

It might actually be 43-44 feet long but it’s marketed as the Fountain 47 hence the name no matter what the actual length is.

Some years ago, Outerlimits rigged one of their 52' V bottoms with 4x650hp diesels and it ran 112mph first time out. They didn't give the mpg and I won't try to guess what it was.

At full rated rpm 4 650hp diesels will burn 130 gph. At 3/4 max rpm it will burn approximately 1/2 as much fuel or about 65 gph.

Beautiful boat. 100% pucker factor with all the traffic. Reminds me of the St.Croix River on saturday in june. How many gal. per hr. does it burn at lets say 2/3 throtle & what mph would that equate to.

Hey Daniel have you seen this boat? FOUR 1350s it might run 200+. I bet that first pass was at least 180. I haven't seen the engine bay so idk if the engines are installed inline or staggered. One other thing; now I know what quad 1350s sound like and I can guess your boat sounds very similar. i like that muted, muffled sound at idle so it doesn't overpower your ears like the big supercharged engines do.

What do you think those engines cost, $900,000+? Add the boat and the price would probly be close to #2M. I need to hit the lottery lol.

@@DanielBramme1 Well a 1350 is $225- 230. Say $225x4=$900k. Then the boat which could run up to $500k. That's =/- $1.5mil. About ten years ago NT built a 47' cat with twin 1500hp turbines I believe it ran right around 170-175. Beautiful boat too and if I find a pic I'll shoot it to you.
