I would replace the 525s with Merc 860s that should get that big heavy boat on plane very quickly.

I like everything about this boat except that little hatch opening in the bow. Love the blue/white paint scheme. The blue helm cuts glare. The seven person seat layout is excellent. Has anyone water tested the boat yet? I'm just wondering how quickly it gets on plane with less than 1600hp. I think Kenne Bell blowers would wake it up quickly!

I was the original owner of this boat. You would be surprised at how well this big boat ran and how easy it planed out with 5-blade Maximus props. She topped out around 92 MPH.

@@neilhyman8165 What did you trade it for and why did you trade it? If I had the money I would order a super light 47 with triple 1100/1350s. 1350s for planing and 1100s for cruising.

Why change anything if ots not what you want wait and buy what you want

Beautiful boat...kinda scary to think about fuel prices for this bad dog.

@@boondocksaints2011 Even though owners of these boats usually have plenty of money they are definitely not happy with the inflation due to the criminals in the WH, That being said most of these boats use 100 octane or better which means they are paying around $15+ per gallon! Smart people with money tend to be frugal, That is how they remain wealthy!

I have owned my share of big powerboats, and now do cars instead. I can tell you the fuel cost very much matter. Do the hourly rate on this boat with engine maintenance and you'd be surprised at the running costs. This boat burns about 140-150 gph at wot.

Tongue weight is around 1,400. It's the weight of the boat. 16-18,000 pounds loaded on trailer. Worry about the tow vehicle. F-450 or equivalent. I looked at one a few weeks ago, guy had a F-350. Max GVWR 14,000. My 86 chevy C-30 is 10,000 max. I think the F-350 is only marginally better than mine, and I think his would be unsafe in any kind of emergency.
