I'm still confused. I've been out of powerboating for well over two decades, got into sailing. But what happened to fountain marine? They were the front runners in speed boats and center consoles. And now, they're a minor thing. From what I get they went under at some point.

No comments on the fact the bow was trimmed too far down on the bow the speed would have been faster and a better ride not plowing the bow into the waves!

Daniel I just watched a program showing UFOs on my TV. People were eating on a restaurant outside on the Baltic Sea in Stockholm when they saw a strange object rising out of the water and moving away from them at high speed. Many people called in to the police who contacted the Swedish Navy. They sent ships and planes out to try to find the object but could not find it. Then there were the "ghost rockets" that flew over Swedish skies right after WW2. They were seen moving at very high speeds and even flying into the Baltic Sea(Unidentified Submersible Objects)at high speeds. Do you know about any of these UFOs or "USOs' ?? Many people in US have said they've seen strange craft in the skies Our govt. will not say there are strange objects but they're out there. Police and Air Force pilots have seen them.

Can you imagine having three 1350/1550s??? Another 600hp at the flip of a switch???? It would run 160- 165 maybe faster!!! Better have a full race canopy and 5 point race harnesses. I can see Reggie Fountain driving it with me throttling!!! Hell he'd probly do both!! 😅 😆 😁

Daniel I lost track of your videos several months ago for some reason but I have them now. I've been telling these US Fountain guys about your boat but they don't believe me. Astounding how easily that huge Fountain turns at 80, 90, 100+, just amazing!! If I had the money the 47 would be on my short list of bada$$ boats to own.

But Daniel...all these videos have been run many times. Can you make new ones with a transom video looking back at the traffic yall just blew by? 😂 We really would appreciate that.

I have seen a lot of 47's over the years and driven multiple triple installs, but never heard of a triple 1350. There has been a lot of triple 900's, 1000's, 1075's etc. but that's a first. Would love to see a tour of the engine compartment. what props is she spinning and what's the gear ratio?

@@DanielBramme1 AB-80x sounds like he knows what he's talking about from experience...unlike myself whose knowledge has only come from reading and youtube. I have owned only two boats; a 24 foot trimaran with 700hp that ran 90mph and before that, a 23' Sea Ray that ran about 45mph.
@@DanielBramme1 Thank you Daniel. The triples can sometimes be a bit finicky to dial in. Those three wheels back there can really push the stern up which I’m turn can make the boat feel extremely loose at very high speeds. I drove a 47 about 7-8 years ago which really stands out because of the prop choice. The boat had rebuilt 1075’s which pushed 1150 hp each and it had been quite the handful above 130. The owner chose to run a set of props with 21 degrees of rake instead of 18 degrees which many normally use. Settled that stern right down and it ran on rails. Could it run 4-5 mph more with less rake? Perhaps, but it would be near impossible. Don’t recall the actual top speed, but I had it deep into the 130’s with plenty left, and it was by far the nicest driving 47 I have been at the helm of. Just something to maybe talk to Hering about. Perhaps try and contact Brett over at Bblades and see if he can send out a set of test props. Anyhow, looking forward to hear more:)

3x 525EFIs. I sold the boat and did the new paint and rear upholstry at the Nor-Tech factory.
What is the top speed of this beast?
We don't really know but we estimate around 130+ mph. We have been up around 119 mph. Thanks for watching! :)
with that much HP I would think 150-160 mph!!!
@@njfinests Not sure what this boat weighs but I would guess 15-16k so that has to be included in the speed calcs. I'm guessing 130-135 when the testing in finished. Lighter boats such as the big Outerlimits boats would probly run 150-160 with this triple setup.

It will be nice to feature the boat sometimes and other boats. Like from launch ramp to captains meetings. Some poker run stops will be nice to see and boat power.
