I really love that victory animation, Fou Lu doesn't triumphantly jump like any RPG character would do, he just walks out of the battlefield like a badass.

Around 20 years ago I played and ended this game, but I was not able to defeat the horseman. Now, 20 years later I see the brute force was not the answer.

This game was a master piece, story, music and visuals (for the time at it was made)

Damn the way he walk out after the fight

Fou-Lu is a rare example of an end boss who has to be made way LESS powerful when faced as an adversary. The playable version of Fou-Lu would tear a level capped party apart. Eat your heart out, Sephiroth!

@@Megaman-2407 He needs that much to last long againt an endgame party of PCs. As a playable character he has enough offensive power to wreck the heroes in 1-2 turns. As an enemy he can take more of a beating but his attacks are not excessively powerful for an endgame boss.

@@brettzforeman nah fam everyone can just go full offensive with speed gear than go for last resort then even if he has overwelming power you can just die then get revive by the invimcible teammate then reapeat until god is dead

@@Megaman-2407 Not necessary against the regular boss, though. An end boss fight that requires the strategy you describe would be pretty awesome, and a more realistic representation of what fighting him would be like.

@@Megaman-2407 lol it's just a natural leveling progress of Fou-lu ,the only "hacking" part is getting him playable and some of his skills

Capcop shoul remake this game like they do on re2 Even we can get the bof 4 prequel, like how fou lu make himself as emperor n sleep

Don't need remake but please make a normal rpg first like bof 7 to test market if really tight budget , because have better ip to invest so chance of this getting mid-high budget remake is low af .. they have dino crisis to go first even if they wanna remake a series

GREAT! Fou shines here! I really like animation quality here, not every ps2 3D action game have such good animations for playable chars. BTW this is what happens, when you play as a main bad guy, enemy uses huge meteor & your char just evades itXD

Also about some random battles...just get 6 party members & get Fou into 4-6 slots (need Ryu on slot 1-3 tho), thats pretty risky, but you can even use him (switch, he will get acid colour tho), but most importantly get EXP! Like from those bots.

Rider missed because i used Final Hope - makes you invulnerable for 3 turns and then KOs your character , that's why he missed and that's why i needed to beat him in 3 turns after i used it XD About your method ,i'll test it out :)

Oh, this game will always have a special place in my heart. It's a shame we haven't gotten any decent sequel. At least a remaster. Legend of Mana got a remaster so I'm hoping this game also gets one in the future. More people need to know the golden era of JRPG from playstation 1

No, thanks. Fou lu's chapters bored me to tears in this game. I would have preferred his parts to be optional. If there is a new BoF I want Ryu and Nina, no boring Fou Lu.

Can you give me "unlock all teleport location codes" to access all area in fou lu mode, because i can't find character modifier code to make empty except Fou-Lu, there's only 7 character modifier code on your link including fou lu and there's no empty character modifier code

Just replace existing char with fou lu code . This was some time ago,so my memory of how I did it is a bit foggy

Btw when you do manage to do it,just replace character s in the party menu, if you replace characters in the field you will experience some glitches

I think you just need to replace either first or the last two character digits with "00" I'm not sure thou

00 is for Ryu, and there's no empty slot digit for empty slot member

Btw, do you have the codes that can unlock and access teleport mode where we play in Foulu timeline so i can play and travel to all city and dungeons as Fou-Lu alone without using any party codes

Now cheat in the bad ending final boss and play as him the rest of the game
