Foster Brooks roasts Jack Benny
edited down from another vid. I got to see Foster in the Philipenes while I was in the navy, he did a great USO show, it was 1982 I think. Will miss this guy.

A master genius perfect at his craft. Foster never breaks character, meanwhile everyone is just plain losing it. Talent at its finest.

And not one F-bomb.
He was amazing. Everyone starts cracking up before he even says one word and then completely destroys the room. When you have the greatest comedians on the dais with you and they are wiping tears away laughing, you are the undisputed master.
This never, NEVER gets old... There's nothing like this today, that's not laughter, it's bellylaughing, hysterical.
I just love how, when he's introduced and stands up, Foster Brooks just slips into the character like a comfortable set of clothes. So seamless and full of art.

Yes... He stands up, takes three steps and POOF, he is in character.. Amazing to watch.. ♥♥
I laughed so hard, I couldn't walk! My father and mother would cry they laughed so hard! A consumate professional. No one could hold a candle to this man! Rip Mr. Brooks! Love you man.

You know, Foster Brooks appears to have only one act and you would think that audiences would get tired of it. But Foster Brooks brings a freshness to each performance that you realise that the act is the continuation of many segments of that act which he has honed to perfection. A genuine, lovable, funny man. Thank you Foster, for the laughs.
How can anybody give this thumbs down? This shit is off the hook funny. This is how I got my comedic chops when I was a little boy watching this stuff.. Comedy genius
The man was a genius. Made people laugh without saying a word.the king Forster Brookes .

Actually, he made people laugh trying to say words.
The sign of a great comedian is the ability to make other great comedians laugh, Foster Brooks does that and more.
Boy oh boy were we so blessed to be born in the time of rock and roll, hot rods, bikinis, and the funniest comedians that ever were or will be...And this guy was clearly at the top of that heap, of sheer brilliance...
You can hear Dean tearing apart the whole time 🤣 Dean had such a contagious laugh 😂
Foster Brooks was the best guest on dean Martin's celebrity roasts

FOSTER BROOKS is the only comedian who makes me laugh so hard that my eyes water every single segment. A TRULY GREAT TALENT made to look so easy and off the shoulder.
"...and 78 dollars from the return of empty soda bottles he collected in his neighborhood." Great joke even sober and one I'm sure Jack appreciated very much.
The best part is watching Jack Benny and George Burns having a great time together.
Humour at its best, funny guys enjoying a funny guy. Unfortunately, they don’t make them like this anymore 😢
I remember as a youngster, my parents and relatives and their friends falling off the sofa and out of chairs laughing so hard at Mr. Brooks.

My dad loved Foster Brooks, and those roasts. He would laugh and slap his leg , and I remember him saying that Foster was so good that he could almost smell him. I miss you, Dad
First time seeing this. I feel so privileged to have lived during the time when we had such great entertainers.
You know I am Russian and only 34 but all of these were such great acts - anytime I have a bad day I put on Foster, Dean and Don and see where it goes- I rewatch many and still spill my vodka :))) thanks for the uploads and keeping this Russian laughing XD
I’m on a Foster Brooks marathon....genius
The people who make others laugh are laying on the floor laughing so hard at Foster Brooks.
he was sober during his drunk routine and was the best.
I’m not sure what’s more funny foster brooks or watching everyone else laughing
If you can get Jack Benny, George Burns, Dean Martin, and the other comedians in a galaxy of a dais rocking with laughter then you must be good. It couldn't even be assembled today let alone performed. The lights of Comedy have gone out......RIP Giants.
Foster Brooks is PRICELESS!
Foster Brooks was a comedy genius.. He played his role to perfection. So good in fact that you could truly question if he was truly tipsy. His performance was that good. He was the major reason why I even watched these Roasts. He could get every star & comedian and entire audience laughing so hard that they were literally crying as well. He was the best .. this was a great era to grow up in .. the greatest I believe. I'm so glad I can watch these whenever I want because they were some of my favorite scenes on these Roasts. Foster was definitely my #1 favorite comedian to watch. I sure miss those days of entertainment... ❣️😥
There will never be another. Such talent. I move him. Such laughter in my part
Wild. He had both Dean Martin and Jack Benny cracking up. Pure genius.
I just love Foster Brooks. I laugh like crazy when I listen to him. Best Drunk comedian!
Another flawless performance by Foster Brooks. And he's a really down to earth guy. Kudos!!!
I watched every time a roast came on tv. It didn't matter who was being roasted, this show was alway FUNNY! I always hoped & couldn't wait for Foster Brooks, Rich Little & Ruth Buzzi to come on. Won't find anything like this on tv today!
Absolutely Classic 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Nick Sr. Would laugh his hard ass off EVERY TIME Foster Brooks came on ! That always made me happy to hear him laughing so hard ! 🌈. I’m now 57 and their all gone now .....this brings a tear as well as joy 😘

I know, Nicky...we miss them.
Unfortunately it was the end of an era.....every time we lost one of these comedians, we had no one to replace them.....
The funny men that appeared on these roasts are gone; not to be replaced by any one today. Most of them came from poor backgrounds. All were products of the Great Depression. All of them paid their dues. I will never see their likes again in my lifetime. Rest in Peace comics and comedians, thank you for making us laugh. Blessed be your names.
There is no foul language in his routine and still got the most laugh's
He doesn't have to say a word and you start cracking up 😅
Every time the camera went off Jack,Ill bet he was on the floor!😂😂😂
I've never seen a roast where Foster did not have the panel in stitches, dern near falling out of their chairs. He was far and wide the best of them.
Without a doubt, the funniest man on TV. Every roast, he brings tears to my eyes.(ls)
I can’t believe Foster doesn’t crack himself up.
Rarely would one see Jack Benny laugh so hard. Foster Brooks wasn't funny, he was flat out hilarious.
All he had to do was just walk to the podim and they all crack up.
Love these Roasts. Especially Foster Brooks.
You know it's going to go off the rails when Dean Martin says "Oh Jesus!" at 0:29!
Pure humour, inoffensive, relatable across all backgrounds. Demonstrate s how to be able to laugh at oneself and not be diminished by the experience. Something that has been lost by our modern public figures who are lesser for its omission.
Foster Brooks always makes me LMAO…
FOSTER BROOKS was awesome!! He inspired future generations to drink! 😂 Plus, in the 70s, he made a very fashionable line of designer sun-glasses!😂

Foster Brooks showed up and performed and delivered the goods.
Love the camaraderie of these entertainers.
Comics of today need to watch these roasts.
Poor Dean, this guy is too much!
I wonder how many people actually catched the minus six joke 😂 Because Jack Benny was always 39 years old 😂

Laughter is what this country needs. Everyone is to uptight about any thing said these days. Clean comedy and great music has been missing for a long time.
How to be stitched up by without swearing it's called talent Mr Crowell
Simply the best and always makes me laugh. Foster Brooks the best
Dean Martin roasts , the best humor on tv ever ! ! ! !
Back when belly laughing was everyday life.
Jack Benny should have sent that hungry man to Wendy's, their Hamburgers are square.
Best comedic drunk who wasn't
The funniest man on earth
Back when Hollyweird still had tallent.
Great comedy, thanks, Foster!!!
Comedy Genius !!!
😂Classic hilarity!!😂
Can you believe that Foster Brooks wouldn't be allowed in today's society? This stuff is ancient history, never to be repeated. Never more,
I remember watching this show, thanks to my dad, when i was just a kid, and we both laughed our butts off... decades later he is just as funny now as he was back then. A truly funny & talented man.🤣
An absolute genius
Imagine being so funny that he can make the greats piss their pants.
I could watch Dean Martin laugh the whole time
The best of the best in comedy were there.
One of the greatest comedians of all times! Foster Brooks.
A true comedic icon
He must have been a riot at a traffic stop.
You know you could just decide to bring this back
Legend 🐐
Apart from the quality, excellent.
The IRS would be proud of Foster and Jack Benny, too!!!
Absolute talent at its best
It’s so nice to see comedy without all the vulgar language
When comedy was truly KING! This is when TV was worth watching, not the ridiculous crap they have on today with these bogus reality shows.
