Nobody's been able to play a drunk better than this man he is hilarious.

I've probably watched this roast 50 times over the last week, and it just doesn't get old. His mannerisms are so perfect. Comic timing at its best

It's 2022 and I'm laughing at a routine from the 1970s. That says alot about Foster Brooks and his comedy. Excellent.

Today this would be seen as offensive but it's comedy and fun at it's best. Wonderful personalities 😅😅

Guy wrote all his own material and hadnt had a drink since 1960. A master.

Love how he can make everyone laugh. No bad language. Just real comedy.

Dean Martin loved Foster Brooks, God Bless them both

Dean obviously loved Foster, always gave him a hug at the end of his set. Classic.

Foster Brooks is the one responsible for the laugh lines in my face, he is incomparable. 💯

That hockeypock line had me on the floor laughing like I haven't done in years. From the mispronunciation, to the stammering, trying to remember, then asking Dean, the dazed and confused look, etc. EVERYTHING was as perfect as it gets. And to see the titans of comedy on stage with him rolling in the aisles with laughter, no one compares with Mr. Brooks.......On a personal note, my dad loved Foster Brooks. I would watch these with him in the 1970's when I was a kid and we just laughed out heads off. My dad passed away in 2011 and I miss him dearly. Great memories of my dad watching this. Thanks so much for posting!

Time with a real father is more precious than gold, is normally a role model goal and hopefully repeated with offspring. It was for me.

Me too it’s 2022 and I’m still. Laughing and no dirty words like mother this and f that I’m 65 years old and I grew on these talented men , boy I sure do miss all of them.

I have watched this multiple times and I laugh every time. Foster plays the part to perfection.

No one could top Foster Brooks. He was one of a kind. Hilarious 😂

To see so many other professional comedians Desperately trying to keep a straight face while Foster is doing his thing still has me wiping away tears of laughter.

There's just something about seeing Dick Martin enjoying a good belly laugh that does my heart well.

Brilliant. This guy makes my eyes run with laughter. Like Tommy Cooper, he is unique. There will never be another like him. Outstanding comedy.

A classic act always to be remembered...and to this day no one has duplicated

Thanks Mr. Hardin for posting. What always amazes me was how Foster could turn it on and off. Notice how he's completely sober walking up, shaking Dean's hand, then he puts both hands on the podium, takes a deep breath and goes into his routine. After he's done shakes the hand of the roastee, and walks soberly back to his seat. What a genius!

Pure Genius, comedy gold, he was a legend and so far ahead of the rest.

We have always loved watching Foster Brooks on TV in all the Roasts he has done. No one can do the act he does. He plays a perfect drunk man talking.

Foster Brooks was one of the funniest comedians ever.He drove by my house in LA once in a big 70s Pontiac Bonneville convertible.😄😆😅

I can honestly say that Foster Brooks is the funniest comedic person ever on television. I laugh from start to finish. Mr. Brooks and Dean Martin play well off each other......two class acts filled with talent. There won't ever be another Dean Martin, with the coolest style, charisma, good looks , and a PHENOMENAL VOICE that won't ever be seen again.Kinda sad...but thank GOD we have KZread and CD's.

This show was the best roast show on this planet. All over this years every superstar gets his roast. Absolutely the best show ever.

Watch and learn, kids. Watch a master's master at work, at the very top of his craft. There will never, ever be anybody even remotely close to this brilliant and astonishingly funny man.

That poppycock line is a comedic tour de force of timing. From the set up to the garbled delivery, to the confused facial expressions. Leaning into Dean and the final punchline for me it's the greatest joke in terms of technique ever.

Foster Brooks was the best. I have done Mr. Brooks several times at clubs and the family. What a great comedian, he was the best. The airline pilot with Dean Martin I will never forget.

His comedic timing was perfect.

Foster Brooks, Don Rickles, Robin Williams, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Groucho Marx. If Olympus was a comedy club, these guys would be the gods of comedy. These kids nowadays aren't worthy to touch the shoes of those legends.

I remember Foster Brooks as a child and he was so funny.He played a very good drunk.lol 🤣🤣

I loved that guy. A real class act.

Comedy at its finest with no racism four letter words which proves you don't have to be crude to be funny. You will be sorely missed mr. Brooks. Thanks for the laughs and he's a great singer too

My favorite roast is the one with Don Rickles as the subject roastee.. To hear Don's laugh when Foster is telling him about his wife is so infectious, was a riot. I had to share it with others. My favorite.

I remember my dad just killing himself laughing his head off. Being like 6 years old, I didn’t realize what being drunk was but just watching my dad laugh made me laugh.

Yeltsin 68 Same here, my dad lost it when Foster came on. I was like 8 at the time, but to see my dad's face turning bright red, laughing so hard that he couldn't breathe or even make any noise at all for a few seconds because he was laughing that hard was priceless!!

One of his best roasts ever. This and Lucille Ball, both classics!

I'm 57, and Foster always brought me to tears from laughing with his delivery, but the one thing that always sold it was his shaking and wobbling, as if he needed to hold on to the podium to stop from falling.

Foster was hilarious! He wrote all his own lines! Everyone of them was funny, but you where guaranteed to always get one that made guest and audience and you laugh out loud!

Between this one, Hubert Humphrey & Don Rickles, by far one the best roasts Foster Brooks ever did 😂😂😂😂

Comedians of the modern era have given thumbs down, out of jealousy.

Remarkable talent and skill in timing and acting. I've listened to his routines quite a few times and still enjoy them

We're all laughing and Foster maintains his serious character throughout. He becomes the inebriated character.

Foster was always one of my favorites at the roasts. The other was Charlie Callas, the tics and sounds cracked me up.
